G729 Passthrough How To
Hello Everyone, We are currently experiencing some higher load on our servers, and since signaling comes into our servers on G729, we would like to implement G729 pass-through. A few questions arise, do we need to convert all the recording to the codec, and what about voicemail? We are also using A2Billing (hope I am not violating any thread rules), and would like to convert all that recording

Open Source Asterisk Polling Solution
Hello Everyone, We are looking for a simple open source auto dialer with "polling" capabilities. What we would like is a program that we can upload leads to, and have asterisk: i) Dial numbers ii) Play pre-recorded iii) If user presses one, forward the call to an agent There are so many solutions out there it's hard to make a decision on what works, what has just a limited free

Asterisk seding 2 INVITEs all of a sudden
Hello Everyone, Today we observed asterisk sending two invites for the initial call before the call was established (ie, not re-invites). There were no changes made to the configuration for a very long time, and was kind of confused when seeing this action. Can someone please suggest where to look to remove this behaviour? Optimizing Asterisk Environment
Hello Everyone, We are getting some rather poor results (relative) with our Asterisk setup. Not sure if we are using the sipp correctly etc.. but nevertheless, is there any documentation that describes how we can get the most our of our Asterisk box. For example when we hit the "too many file" error, and fixing it using ulimit..... Also, is there any way we can allocate sufficient

TC400B and show transcoder
Hi All, I have recently installed a TC400B card into a system and am trying to get it to work. As far as I ca tell from the docco on Digiums website, there is no config as such unless you want to enable / disable only 1 codec, otherwise by default it runs as 92 channels of either. I have tried asterisk 1.4.9, 1.4.10 and 1.4.10.1 along with zaptel 1.4.4 and addons 1.4.2. The zaptel modules

Help: RED alarm on Wildcard TE122 card
Hi, I have been trying to get a Wildcard TE122 card running here the last couple of days. libpri and zaptel are all installed and configured to E1 specs. The jumper on the card is on, so configured for E1 (I'm in Norway). When running zttool, I get 'Alarms: RED' on the single card installed. Other information in zttool: Current alarms: Red Alarm Sync source: Internally clocked

Problem with incoming calls on Broadvoice after upgrade to 1.4.18
Hi all, I just upgraded to Asterisk 1.4.18 a few days ago and I don't use Broadvoice TOO often, however I have a Vermont number with them and so my mother in law calls it to talk to my wife once in a while, so that's why it took me so long to notice it wasn't working. Anyway, when she calls she gets a busy signal (as I've tested when calling it from my cell). When I enable

Why would any REMOTE WILDCARD = "No match" ???
Using newest rsync on Mac OS X: Why would THIS work: rsync -avze ssh derek@mydomain.com:/home/derek/digitize.pub ./ But THIS immediately shoot back a "No match" error: rsync -avze ssh derek@mydomain.com:/home/derek/*.pub ./ The 2nd example doesn't even try to log in. Rsync just immediately shoots back this error: rsync: No match. Wildcard DOES work locally: THIS WORKS: rsync

Wildcard X100P Choppy Sound and Chipmonk Recordings
Hello, I recently purchased a Wildcard X100P FXO Card primarily as a learning tool and to provide myself with voicemail and a few other perks that are better than an answering machine. I followed the setup in the FAQ, and it works, just not well. The sound is very choppy and staticy whenever a call is placed. Sometimes it clears up, and sometimes it degrades very badly. I also recently

Doveadm option for a non-wildcard single-user with userdb
Hello, Most "doveadm" commands accept "[-A|-u user|-F file]" for user selection, or the environment "USER". I'm testing with "doveadm quota recalc". The problem is that there is no way to ask "doveadm" to work in (1) single-user mode with (2) no wildcard support, and at the same time to (3) make a lookup in "userdb", in order to

Is it possible to define a function's arguments via a wildcard in 'substitute()'?
Dear List, just out of pure curiosity: is it possible to define a function via 'substitute()' such that the function's formal arguments are specified by a "wildcard" that is substituted when the expression is evaluated? Simple example: x.args <- formals("data.frame") x.body <- expression( out <- myArg + 100, return(out) ) expr <-
