Master passwords and ACLs
Hello, Since I have activated acl plugin, master password is no longer working. I'm running dovecot 2.1.9 with master password and acl plugin (among others). I have attached my configuration. If I disable acl plugin, it works, but if I enabled it, dovecot fails. In the client, I get: amateo at joshua:~$ telnet myotis30.um.es 143 Trying 155.54.211.169... Connected to myotis30.um.es.

Errors on yum upgrade
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've seen it before on several occasions and yet the directory tree was removed. I should just ignore it. doveadm proxy password
Hi, I'm configuring a proxy host to connect to backend servers. As proxy is done based on an LDAP attribute of the user, I'm not using director. In the proxy server I have configured: doveadm_port = 24245 doveadm_password = secret And in the backend: service doveadm { inet_listener { port = 24245 } } local <mynetwork> { doveadm_password = secret }

dsyncing lazy_expunge namespace
Hello, I'm in the process of migrating mailbox from one dovecot server running dovecot 2.1.9 with mailboxes stored in maildir format to a newer one running 2.1.16 with mailboxes stored in mdbox format. To migrate mailboxes I'm using dsync as explained at http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Tools/Dsync. The command I'm running in the newer server is: sudo dsync -o mailbox_list_index=no

Swap memory: I can't reconcile this stuff.
I need to look more into it, but before I start the long and arduous "googling my life away" process, I figured someone might know the answer. I've read the man pages several times and they didn't change! :-( As normal, while looking at one thing, something else bites my butt. I tuned on the swap field in top and sort on it. Here's an edited snippet of the results. Mem:

Lot of dovecot process writes
Hello, While monitoring my servers' behaviour (ubuntu 12.04 with dovecot 2.1.9, with about 70000 users) I have found that lots of disk usage is done by dovecot process (the parent process). Since lmtp, imap and pop3 connections are handle by their own process, what could be the reason of this? -- Angel L. Mateo Mart?nez Secci?n de Telem?tica ?rea de Tecnolog?as de la Informaci?n y las

doveadm commands returning 139 at director servers
Hello, I have configured director in front of dovecot imap/pop/lmtp servers. When I need to manipulate a user mailbox, I use doveadm commands at director server's, with -S option. But some commands return exit code 139 when command returns more than 40 entries (I think). For example, the command: sudo doveadm fetch -u amateo hdr mailbox Trash HEADER Subject "nyctalus11/"
