ArgumentError on model create statement
I have a rails app model that I''m getting a strange error that is just
baffling me. I''ve stripped everything out of my model down to the
basics and still get the error.
So, here is the current model:
class Metric < ActiveRecord::Base
end
When I go into the console, and issue a simple "Metric.create" command I
get the following error:

Error on update_attributes with HABTM relationship
Hope someone can tell me what''s up, because this has me baffled.
I have an Image model, and a Provider model. Both are defined as
"has_and_belongs_to_many" relating to each other. In my image form
partial, I have a bit of AJAX generating the provider_ids array
dynamically from a provider AJAX search on the same page.
So for example, each time I click on a provider name that

ActiveRecord::Validator vs ActiveModel::Validator
I know that there is an ActiveModel Validator class
https://github.com/rails/rails/blob/master/activemodel/lib/active_model/validator.rb
which is used for the class level validation macros.
But I didn''t find a an ActiveRecord Validator class.
From my understanding in Rails 3, validations have been moved into
ActiveModel to leave ActiveRecord as an ORM.
So now I see this Rails 3 code

Proposal for a new ActiveModel::Errors structure
There are few issues with the current ActiveModel::Errors class.
Firstly, when an error is added to ActiveModel::Errors class via #add
method
(https://github.com/rails/rails/blob/master/activemodel/lib/active_model/errors.rb#L294)
its translation is added. It should not be translated when being added, but
only when being read.
The second issue is a bit bigger. We''d like to create
