[PATCH] Btrfs: incompatible format change to remove hole extents V4
Btrfs has always had these filler extent data items for holes in inodes. This has made somethings very easy, like logging hole punches and sending hole punches. However for large holey files these extent data items are pure overhead. So add an incompatible feature to no longer add hole extents to reduce the amount of metadata used by these sort of files. This has a few changes for logging and

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: add skinny metadata support to progs V3
This fixes up the progs to properly deal with skinny metadata. This adds the -x option to mkfs and btrfstune for enabling the skinny metadata option. This also makes changes to fsck so it can properly deal with the skinny metadata entries. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <jbacik@fusionio.com> --- V2->V3: update the mkfs.btrfs man page with the new option This is based on

[PATCH 2/2] Btrfs: use a lock to protect incompat/compat flag of the super block
The following case will make the incompat/compat flag of the super block be recovered. [PATCH] Btrfs: return an error from btrfs_wait_ordered_range
I noticed that if the free space cache has an error writing out it''s data it won''t actually error out, it will just carry on. This is because it doesn''t check the return value of btrfs_wait_ordered_range, which didn''t actually return anything. So fix this in order to keep us from making free space cache look valid when it really isnt. Thanks, Signed-off-by:

[PATCH 3/4] update nodatacow code
Hello, This patch simplifies the nodatacow checker. If all references were created after the latest snapshot, then we can avoid COW safely. This patch also updates run_delalloc_nocow to do more fine-grained checking. [RFC] [PATCH] Btrfs: rework can_nocow_odirect
I need everybody to go over this with a fine toothed comb since it is a pretty big change. I think it is right and it seems to come out right, but if it''s not it will mean we screw up O_DIRECT on snapshotted files with preallocated extents, so please, make sure it is correct :). --- Subject: [PATCH] Btrfs: rework can_nocow_odirect We are always doing the file extent lookup in here

[libnbd PATCH 1/1] api: Add support for FAST_ZERO flag
Qemu was able to demonstrate that knowing whether a zero operation is fast is useful when copying from one image to another: there is a choice between bulk pre-zeroing and then revisiting the data sections (fewer transactions, but depends on the zeroing to be fast), vs. visiting every portion of the disk only once (more transactions, but no time lost to duplicated I/O due to slow zeroes). [PATCH libnbd 8/9] generator: Enhance Flags/OFlags with optional "all flags" mask.

[nbdkit PATCH] connections: Improve error responses
We had several inconsistencies from the NBD spec when diagnosing bad client messages: - FLUSH is not generally forbidden on a read-only export (so failing with EPERM is wrong) [meanwhile, if we don't advertise flush because plugin_can_flush() fails, then rejecting with EINVAL is still okay] - returning EPERM (aka EROFS) for read-only exports should probably take precedence over anything else -

[PATCH] Btrfs: remove almost all of the BUG()'s from tree-log.c
There were a whole bunch and I was doing it for other things. I haven''t tested these error paths but at the very least this is better than panicing. I''ve only left 2 BUG_ON()''s since they are logic errors and I want to replace them with a ASSERT framework that we can compile out for production users. [PATCH] Btrfs: set a incompat flag when setting default subvol
Older kernels would generally be able to still mount the filesystem with the default subvolume set, but it would result in a different volume being mounted, which could be an even more unpleasant suprise for users. So if you set your default subvolume, you can''t go back to older kernels. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <josef@redhat.com> --- fs/btrfs/ctree.h | 4 +++-

[libnbd PATCH v2 4/5] api: Add STRICT_FLAGS to set_strict_mode
The next strict knob: allow the user to pass unknown flags across the wire (this is different than passing a known flag at the wrong time). It is interesting to note that NBD only permits 16 bits of flags, but we have a signature that takes uint32_t; if we wanted, we could pack libnbd-specific flags in the upper bits that the NBD protocol would never see. --- generator/API.ml | 46

RFE: Proposed fix for incompat introduced with 'unix extensions' and 'wide links'....in 3.4(?)..
After an upgrade, I got re-bitten by the 'unix-extensions and wide links' incompat. (They used to be compat but were made incompat in the 3.4.x timeframe due to security concerns). At the time it was suggested I write a patch complete with documentation to describe the fix. The below seems to fit the bill. I was wondering what people thought about it's inclusion in future

[PATCH v4] Btrfs: Check INCOMPAT flags on remount and add helper function
In support of the recently added capability to remount with lzo compression, provide a helper function to check the compression INCOMPAT flags when remounting with lzo compression, and set the flags if necessary. Also, implement the new helper function when defragmenting with explicit lzo compression and when setting the default subvolume. Signed-off-by: Mitch Harder

Hello Maybe not the right list... I know about the phf cgi script is a hole. So I look thou my errorlog and surely found a couple (4 accesses) of tries to run the script. = Now it passed my mind that i should check what other scripts failed because they didn''t exist. I have found a two other scripts that some tries to run, I have no reference to them. These are: pursuit (3
