[PATCH] ACM: adding C-support for policy translation and labeling support for domains
This patch:
* adds a C-based security policy translation tool to Xen (secpol_xml2bin)
and removes the current Java
security policy translator (Java dependencies). The C-based tool
integrates into the Xen source tree build
and install (using gnome libxml2 for XML parsing). See install.txt.
* introduces security labels and related tools. Users can now use
semantic-rich label names to put

[PATCH] kdump: introduce "reset_devices" command line option
upstream commit 7e96287ddc4f42081e18248b6167041c0908004c
Author: Vivek Goyal <vgoyal@in.ibm.com>
[PATCH] kdump: introduce "reset_devices" command line option
Resetting the devices during driver initialization can be a costly
operation in terms of time (especially scsi devices). This option can be
used by drivers to know that user forcibly wants the devices to

[LLVMdev] Compiling user mode linux with LLVM
Hello,
I've recently started working on compiling UML with LLVM: the goal is to
produce a bitcode version of vmlinux.
With some tweaks to the build process, I can use:
make ARCH=um CROSS_COMPILE=llvm- CFLAGS="-emit-llvm"
to produce vmlinux bitcode.
The question is with respect linker script support. Since llvm-ld does not
support linker scripts--please correct me if I'm

[RFC, PATCH 2/5] Paravirt_ops patch bugs.patch
Failing to patch because not enough space is available for a call or jump
or because the site clobbers do not allow the target clobbers to fit is
a fatal error; it means the kernel can not be properly virtualized.
In patch_insns, we just keep a warning instead; it may not be fatal, as
they paravirt-ops backend may just be trying to insert a greedy but not
necessary inline function.

[PATCH v2 1/2] firstboot: rename systemd and sysvinit
Currently we install a systemd service named firstboot.service and a
SysV service named virt-sysprep-firstboot. On systems where systemd is
the init system and runs with the SysV compatibility, the different
names make systemd handle them as different services, and thus trying to
run the firstboot script runner twice.
Rename both the systemd service and the SysV one to guestfs-firstboot:

Passing arguments between apply and l(s)apply functions vs. nested for loop
Hi R community,
I have a question concerning passing arguments between apply and lapply? Or maybe, once my problem is explained, the question is really about how to best transform my nested for loops into list/matrix operations; I am just beginning this transformation away from nested for loops, so I beg of you to have some lenience regarding my ignorance.
Part I:
I used a set of nested for

[PATCH 01/27] build: Make OCaml compiler required for all builds.
Previously the OCaml compiler was only required if building from git
but was at least theoretically optional if building from tarballs
(although this was never tested). Since we want to write parts of the
daemon in OCaml, this makes OCaml required for all builds.
Note that the ‘--disable-ocaml’ option remains, but it now only
disables OCaml bindings and OCaml virt tools. Using this option does

[patch 00/17] paravirt_ops updates
Hi Andi,
This series of patches updates paravirt_ops in various ways. Some of the
changes are plain cleanups and improvements, and some add some interfaces
necessary for Xen.
The brief overview:
add-MAINTAINERS.patch - obvious
remove-CONFIG_DEBUG_PARAVIRT.patch - no longer needed
paravirt-nop.patch - mark nop operations consistently
paravirt-pte-accessors.patch - operations to pack/unpack

[PATCH 0/5] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
The first four patches are straightforward.
The final patch adds the -o rhv-upload output mode. It is
still spooling into a temporary file because I've had some
trouble getting streaming conversions working. There are
other problems as outlined in the commit message, so this
patch is not ready for upstream but is good for discussion.
Also I hit this, which I'm assuming for now will be

[PATCH v4 00/25] xen: ARMv7 with virtualization extensions
Hello everyone,
this is the fourth version of the patch series that introduces ARMv7
with virtualization extensions support in Xen.
The series allows Xen and Dom0 to boot on a Cortex-A15 based Versatile
Express simulator.

[PATCH v1] ACPI: Switch to use generic UUID API
acpi_evaluate_dsm() and friends take a pointer to a raw buffer of 16
bytes. Instead we convert them to use uuid_le type. At the same time we
convert current users.
acpi_str_to_uuid() becomes useless after the conversion and it's safe to
get rid of it.
The conversion fixes a potential bug in int340x_thermal as well since
we have to use memcmp() on binary data.

cleaned up and documented paravirt.h and the patching machinery.
Overview:
add-MAINTAINERS.patch
obvious
remove-CONFIG_DEBUG_PARAVIRT.patch
No longer meaningful or needed.

[PATCH RFC v13 00/20] Introduce PVH domU support
This patch series is a reworking of a series developed by Mukesh
Rathor at Oracle. The entirety of the design and development was done
by him; I have only reworked, reorganized, and simplified things in a
way that I think makes more sense. The vast majority of the credit
for this effort therefore goes to him. This version is labelled v13
because it is based on his most recent series, v11.
