NHW Project - paid development
Hello,
As I said in my previous post, I would like now to accelerate to NHW Codec
development.I started in January 2007, more than 10 years ago, and I would
like now to see it finished after all the time I gave to it (especially the
3 first years). For now I can only give 2-3 hours in the week-end to the
codec development, and furthermore I don't have all the skills to improve
it, notably in

Projects for new developers
Hi,
A few people have asked about work they can do on OpenSSH that stands
the chance of winning them a bug bounty from Google''s program to reward
open source security[1].
Some big things that we are missing relate to our test suite. Right now
we don''t have any automated way to run valgrind or AddressSanitizer and
get good coverage. Some of the developers do this manually, and

Regression query : steps for model building
Hi
I have a set of data with both quantitative and categorical predictors.
After scaling of response variable, i looked for multicollinearity (VIF
values) among the predictors and removed the predictors who were hinding
some of the
other significant predictors. I'm curious to know whether the predictors
(who are not significant) while doing simple 'lm' will be involved in

Dear list readers,
I just wanted to tell that the MoinMoin wiki project is taking part in Google's
"Summer of Code 2006" and one of the project students might get paid for an
advanced integration of Xapian into MoinMoin wiki, exploiting what Xapian can do.
Required: you must be a university student, have Xapian knowledge and know
Python (MoinMoin is coded in Python).
You will have

Quicken 2010 *long* delays in Paid By field
I've recently upgraded from Quicken 2009 to Quicken 2010, running with the latest Wine dev version as always. This, coupled with a fresh install of Wine on a clear registry, has solved a few problems but created one HUGE one that I'm at a loss to resolve.
Whenever I'm entering or editing a transaction and reach the "Paid By" field, there is an excessive delay before I'm

Call Parking and Paid Digium software modifications
Hello,
I'm considering paying Digium to do a modification to Asterisk so that calls
can be parked on specific user-defined numbers(transfer to 701 and it's
parked on 701, transfer to 702 and it's parked on 702) instead of the way
Asterisk currently does call parking(transfer to 700 and then it tells you
where it put the call 701-720).
What would be the price range for this feature to

Call Parking and Paid Digium software modifi cations
That is how many old PBX phone systems work and it is that way our users are
used to working with the phone system. Another issue with the way Asterisk
callparking currently works is that there is only one call-park orbit, you
cannot use a different set of numbers for a different call park
instance(i.e. 700 goes to 701-720 AND 740 goes to 741-750).
We also have several Grandstream phones which

Paid or Free software that would do pop-up from Outlook 2007 via Asterisk AMI
Hi Everyone,
I am looking for a paid version of a program that has proven to work with
Outlook 2007 and Asterisk 1.6 on Windows Vista, XP, and maybe even Windows
7.
Outcall is not the answer as it has lots of bugs and doesn't work.
Something simple with very simple interface would be preferred.

Options for paid Samba (4) support
Hi,
After years of Samba 3 working great, we are trying to move a testing Samba
4 AD system into production and have been making progress, but keep hitting
show stoppers. (For example, roaming profiles with redirected folders
usually work for most users. However, some users consistently can't see
their profile on some machines, despite the profile and redirected folders
looking fine on the

Useful article for anyone programming for paid client work
We''re working on a new series of applications called "RealApps" - simple
plugins and components add functionality to Rails applications. We just
posted an article describing the first one - a content management system.
We also go into the business case behind the design we chose. Good stuff for
programmers to know - especially if you are doing paid client work. It

A couple of small, paid userland hacker projects.
Hey there,
I'm looking for someone to implement each of the following:
(1) Make pkg_add(1) not use system(3) to execute external programs to
do things that it can implement internally (i.e. calling out to tar(1)
is fine, calling out to mkdir(1) is not.) Alternately, rewrite
pkg_add as a sh(1) shell script, with perhaps a minimal utility
written in C (pkg_admin?) to muck with /var/db/pkg.
