Mount options for fs type storage pools?
Hi all,
Presently writing up "Storage Pool" docs for the Fedora Virtualisation
Guide. (using both virsh and virt-manager)
Having trouble finding out how to specify mount options for fs type
storage pools.
For example:
# virsh pool-define-as guest_images_fs fs - - /dev/sdc1 - "/guest_images"
Pool guest_images_fs defined
# virsh pool-build guest_images_fs

Letting linux be the router, allowing dynamic routes, suggestion
What challenge this would solve ?
VPN software in general tries to be another router when running in server
mode with multiple clients.
This restricts VPN customers from having complex topology.
For instance, I'd like to have two tunnels between each client network and
each server (with two broadband connections on each end), with some OSPF
running and automatically switching from one to

Function dom0_ip in vif-common.sh fails in some configurations
I had some problems getting Xen to work on my machine. I tracked down the
problem to the function dom0_ip in vif-common.sh which shall retrieve the
ip address of the main network device of dom0. This function, however,
fails in some admittedly unusual configurations.
The machine in question is a rented server. The LAN adapter is configured
with a /32 netmask. I have debian, and this is an excerpt

ntpd under Xen Dom0 exhibits extremely high jitter/noise? runs stable/quiet under non-xen kernel.
On a selection of boxes, ntpd running in Xen Dom0 reproducibly
exhibits extermely high noise/jitter.
Switching back to -default, non-xen kernel ntpd runs with very low jitter/noise.
Question -- how can I ''tame'' ntpd noise & jitter when running in Dom0?
Is the problem a config issue, or a bug?
Already reported this downstream; everybody''s "stumped".

No Ringback, only on 1 SIP provider
Hi,
I have the following situation: At a branch , there is a Cisco Call Manager with users all having
Cisco phones. Now I put down a Asterisk 1.2.12 box at the branch, which talks H323 via chan_oh323
to the CCM. So calls go from the CCM, go H323 to the local Asterisk box, then I take it via SIP to
another Asterisk box. From there I am hooked up to 2 different providers, for Local and

Re: Write ordering in Ext4
thanks that answered my question. One more question, is it possible to stop the delayed block allocation in ext4 ?

Shorewall stops after about 36 hours
I don''t know what is happening, but every 36 hours or so I''ll go to ssh into
my server and find that I can''t connect on any of the outside services. I
then can connect into the box using a serial connection and find that
shorewall reports that it is not running and the iptables are in some kind
of default state which looks nothing like what I set it up with shorewall

Problem with SAMBA 4 on Debian default installation
Dear All,
I have samba 4 installation which was upgraded from samba 3. Everything was
working fine for about 6 months. Then I don't remember what I have done but
after restart of server, it is impossible to log into Windows using
Workgroup.
The setup consists of several Windows XP and Windows 7 computer. Samba jest
PDC.
Looks like problems with configuration of Kerberos or around it.

read-subvolume
Hi everyone
I have installed 3.3.1-1 from the Debian repository you provide.
I am using a simple 2 node cluster and running in replication mode. The
connection between the nodes is limited to 100MB/sec (that's bits not
bytes!). Usage will be mainly for read access and since there is always
a local copy available [ exactly 2 replicas on exactly 2 machines ] I
expect very fast read
