[RFC] Allowing debug intrinsics to reference multiple SSA Values
Currently, the debug intrinsic functions each have 3 arguments: an SSA value representing either the address or Value of a local variable, a DILocalVariable, and a complex expression. If the SSA value is an Instruction, and that Instruction is at some point deleted, we attempt to salvage the SSA value by recreating the instruction within the complex expression. If the instruction cannot be

converting a character vector to a function's input
Hi all, I have been trying to solve this problem and have had no luck so far. I have numeric vectors VAR1, VAR2, and VAR3 which I am trying to cbind. I also have a character vector "VAR1,VAR2,VAR3". How do I manipulate this character vector such that I can input a transformed version of the character vector into cbind and have it recognize that I'm trying to refer to my numeric

A somewhat off the line question to a log normal distribution
Sigfried, I am not a statistician, but I have learned that according to the Central Limit Theorem (CLT) sums of random variables, regardless of their form, will tend to be normally distributed. CLT does not require the variables in the sum to come from the same underlying distribution. Ciao, Hannu Kahra Progetti Speciali Monte Paschi Asset Management SGR S.p.A. Via San Vittore, 37 IT-20123

Re: A somewhat off the line question to a log normal distribution
Dear Siegfried, I believe your boss is wrong saying that: >He also tried to explain me that the monthly means >(based on the daily measurements) must follow a >log-normal distribution too then over the course of a year. every statistician know that increasing the sample size the sample distribution of the mean is proxy to a gaussian distribution (Central Limit Theorem) independently

Problem with tor2 driver and Zapata Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI Card
Hi All, I'm having a bit of a time getting my Tormenta 2 card to actually be seen by the system. Whenever I modprobe, the kernel spits out the following (in addition to the "insmod tor2 failed" messages): Invalid Xilinx 8 bit Base resource Registered Tormenta2 PCI Of course, the module says that its registered a Tormenta2 card, but it unloads the driver and frees related

XHCI umass support breaks between r248085 and r252560 on 9-STABLE
Three different external hard drives (Seagate, Western Digital and noname USB 3.0 enclosure) refused to be recognized as the umass devices. Reverting /usr/src/sys/dev/bsd/controller to r248085, building and loading just xhci module makes drives appear again. file.copy() problems on WinNT (PR#1085)
For some files, file.copy() doesn't copy these files correctly. Here you will find a file (Bitmap, 769Kb) to reproduce the problem: http://www.statistik.uni-dortmund.de/leute/ligges/R/test1.bmp Using file.copy("c:/test1.bmp", "c:/test2.bmp", overwrite = TRUE) produces a second file with the size of ~1.4 Mb: http://www.statistik.uni-dortmund.de/leute/ligges/R/test2.bmp
