understanding icecast decoding from a listener client perspective
I looked at these requests and started trying to interpret the data of
the header and the stream. I receive a header, and even when I added the
parameter to the request to try and get meta-data, it seems that it is
not being included. Namely, the number that is supposed to tell the
distance between each meta-data section that is sent in the stream. I
couldn't figure out the config setting

Lighttpd & VB.Net HTTPWEBREQUEST
Hi guys/gals,
I don''t know if anyone can answer this, and this post may belong in a
VB.Net forum, but my question is more for lighttpd. I have a .net app
that sends a HTTPWEBREQUEST to the webserver. Then my def saves this
hit to a mysql db. In webrick, this works fine, but not in lighttpd. I
was wondering if anyone has ever done this or does anyone know if
lighttpd does not accept

[Vorbis-dev] Zero length reported.
Okay - so I stepped through the code slowly this morning making notes as I went.
And I can see what’s wrong. The last Ogg header of the troublesome file contains -1 as the granule position. The spec says this has a special meaning "A special value of '-1' (in two's complement) indicates that no packets finish on this page."

Hello - I have two files which play back in VLC correctly.

COFF::IMAGE_REL_AMD64_REL32 relocation overflow when compiling for x86_64
Thanks Andy, helpful as always!
1 is a possibility, but not ideal for us.
Could you elaborate a little on 3? I don't really know what a jump stub is,
but am guessing it's a kind of "alternative symbol" which would just act as
a middle man to invoke the "real" symbol in the static library.
If that's the case, I can think of a way to implement it for specific

Windows: How to catch C++ exceptions in runtime-compiled code?
HI all,
Here in the JUCE team, we are working on porting the Projucer <https://www.juce.com/releases/projucer-juce-4> C++ live coding engine to Windows. Our main challenge now is how to catch C++ exceptions in runtime-compiled code on Windows. This doesn’t work for us and we’re quite stuck at this point.
I recently had a chat about this with Chandler Carruth at C++Now. Chandler suggested

Fwd: [Vorbis-dev] Zero length reported.
Hello - I send this to the vorbis-dev list yesterday, but I’m working if it would not have been better targeted at this list.
Sorry for the spam if you are on both :)

Automatic parsing of POSTed XML into @params
Awhile back I was posting some XML strings to my rails 1.0 application
and I noticed - much to my surprise and delight - that the XML was
automatically parsed into nested parameter values that were available
through @params.
To be more specific, if I posted the string
"<request><token>abcdefg</token</request>", I could access the value
"abcdefg" in my

Using decoding vorebis from a Vorbis / Theora Video
I am trying to write a media player in c# which will be able to play .ogg
video files which contain Theora video and Vorbis audio streams.
Currently I am using LibOgg and LibTheora (via a SWIG generated wrapper).
This currently is able to decode the video and output it to the screen. I
would like to use LibVorbis to decode the audio stream. Looking at the
documentation it looks like I have to use

COFF::IMAGE_REL_AMD64_REL32 relocation overflow when compiling for x86_64
Some time ago I posted here regarding a relocation overflow on Windows
(among other things), but the issue disappeared and so the thread got left.
I've started this new thread because a) I didn't want to necro the old one
and b) it felt like its own.
I've now encountered the issue again and am noting down all the information
I can get about it whilst it's happening.
The issues is

Encoding/decoding Ogg Vorbis .NET library?
Hey list,
I think the subject pretty much sums it up. Is anyone working on a
(pure) .NET library that decodes and possibly encodes Ogg Vorbis?
Take care,
Hendrik

Single Precision (4 byte) floats with readBin
I would like to use readBin to read a binary data
file. Most of the data is 4-byte floating point but,
for some reason, only double precision appears to be
offered. I tried
fVariable=readBin(iFile,what=single());
and got 35.87879 which looks believable except that
the correct value is 3.030303. I then tried
fVariable=readBin(iFile,what=single(),4);
and got

[cfe-dev] Orc Windows C++
First of all, thanks very much to Lang for fixing the BSS section bug; works like a charm!
I’ve been unable to reproduce the 32 bit relocation on 64 bit code (I’ll let you know if I do). However, I’m still having issues with resolving the 64 bit symbol relocations. In case it’s relevant, the specific symbol my program is tripping up on is IID_IOleObject, where TargetAddress is dereferenced

Random decoder error/exception
Hi,
i know this mailing list is basically dead but i try anyways because
i've got a problem and i'm nearly desperate.
I'm writing a realtime voice chat application, with a centralized server
(dedicated) architecture, using C# (dedicated server is a .net core app
while for the client i'm using C# to script the game engine Unity3D).
For the encoding/decoding part i'm using

Hi there,
According the page,

it seems there exists Ogg Vorbis decoder in C#.
Is it well known?

That's great news, thanks! If I can be of any help, let me know. :)
I'll see if I can reduce the example for the relocation issue whilst you're
at it.

[LLVMdev] 16 bit floats
BGB/Chris,
I need to do a similar where I convert the 16bit floats to 32bit floats
on memory operations for both scalar and vector formats. So can these
operations be implemented without adding 16 bit float support natively
to LLVM? If so, how?
