iptables command to view just nat/forward info by ip
Hi there... does anyone know of a handy iptables command to look at existing nat rules? I tried: iptables -t nat -L Which was close, but the problem is that the DNAT and SNAT list the reverse DNS for the IP's, when I would rather see just pure IP's. I have been reading the man pages and google looking for an answer as well. Thanks!

iptables nat table rules
I am forwarding traffic on port 8080 to port 80 with following rule. # iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i eth0 -p tcp --dport 8080 -j REDIRECT --to-port 80 # iptables-save However, I am unable to add it directly in /etc/sysconfig/iptables. I think it is used only for filter table and not nat table. So where do nat table rules go? Any help? - cs.

Search and extract string function
Hi all, I'm trying to write a function that will search and extract from a long character string, but with a twist: I want to use the characters before and the characters after what I want to extract as reference points. For example, say I'm working with data entries that looks like this: Drink=Coffee:Location=Office:Time=Morning:Market=Flat

I might be dumb : a simple question about "foreach"
Hi list, My attention was drawn to the foreach package by recent posts...I decided to have a look... I'm using R.2.9.1 on Windows, I have downloaded the foreach package today (v 1.2.1), together with iterators (v. 1.0.1) and codetools (v.0.2-2). Full of hope I try the most simple thing of all out of the package vignette : > x <- foreach(i = 1:3) %do% sqrt(i) and get : > Erreur

netboot, vnc and no keyboard/mouse/monitor
hey guys, I just created a custom netboot cd, that launches and loads from a http source, but connects to a vnc listening viewer. All in all, not hard to do, but what is different with this one is that it skips the media check, has no prompts and allows you to start the install on a machine that has no keyboard/mouse/monitor. Was handy for me as when i have some boxes to load, I just

possible bug 5.1 - possibly more of a package issue
Hi there, not really sure if this is a bug, but more so rather a missing file... I installed a fresh 5.1 copy very minimal - no desktop, etc. Now it came up later that I would need a desktop on this install. So I was going to just groupinstall in the Gnome Desktop. # yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment" Now while processing the dependencies, it fails out with a dependency for

Ad integration with centos 6
Can anyone point me to a tutorial on using Active Directory to authenticate a centos 6 server? I just want to use it to authenticate, ssh and restrict access to a particular ad group. I prefer to use the lightest method possible. I know you can use ldap, or winbind, etc. I have been trying to follow the ones I have been googling, but none of them seem "quit complete. My issue is that I have

Random effects ANOVA?
Hi all -- So I have a very simple dataset, which consists of 60 subjects, who watched one of three videos, drank one of two drinks, and completed a task. The response variable is the time to complete the task. The ANOVA command is simple enough: anova(aov(time ~ drink * video, data = df)); However, the videos were randomly selected; I need to use the random effects model for them. So

using YAML for --failures and --examples
As it is currently, in trunk, --failures and --examples except a text file, each line containing the name of a spec. I''m wondering: Would a a patch to use YAML (instead or as well as) plain text be welcomed? I''m thinking of a yaml file like the following: spec_file_1: file: spec/person_spec.rb specs: - should have first name - should provide email address

Super simple web proxy.
Hello all. I currently have a couple of simple semi-official intranet sites running on a computer at work (I shanghai''d it to run these sites along with it''s primary purpose). Each site is running on one mongrel server that hosts the ruby/rails app. One is running on port 80 and the other is running on port 81. What I am after is a super simple WINDOWS compatible program

Re-Assembling SongData in Icecast Streams..
Like any other major radio station we output our music from automation software via analog audio through a mix board in a studio, where we insert other stuff like live DeeJays, etc. only to have that stream re-encoded by hardware MP3 encoders for distribution to our network of IceCast servers. The chain of song information gets broken as soon as we output from the Automation software,

[REL] Manage Fixtures 2.0.0
Just released a new version of the _Managed Fixtures_ plugin, previously known as _Export Fixtures_. The name change comes with some added functionality for managing the fixtures, primarily with two new import tasks for importing specific Models or all of them within the test/fixtures directory. Both new import tasks take the exported fixtures, and allow you to directly import one, or all of

I hazard to submit, more people are turning to opensource as XP becomes obsolete.
