Zlib maildir reindex bug?
Hi Running dovecot 2.1.7 (from debian repo). We have some old compressed maildir messages with the wrong S= size in the filename (our fault). If I delete index files, log in to the mailbox and try to FETCH the bad message, dovecot complains about the incorrect message size, attempts to fix the filename and disconnects the client. However, it changes the filesize to the size of the message on

Index error copying compressed message
Hi. Dovecot 2.2, with the zlib plugin, I think we're getting bad index entries on IMAP COPY. On copying a message to an empty folder, in the dovecot error log I see: Sep 19 20:34:25 imap01 dovecot: imap(grain at rp-auth-test.com): Error: Cached message size smaller than expected (615 < 971) Sep 19 20:34:25 imap01 dovecot: imap(grain at rp-auth-test.com): Error: Corrupted index cache file

Rsync 4TB datafiles...?
I need to rsync 4 TB datafiles to remote server and clone to a new oracle database..I have about 40 drives that contains this 4 TB data. I would like to do rsync from a directory level by using --files-from=FILE option. But the problem is what will happen if the network connection fails the whole rsync will fail right. rsync -a srchost:/ / --files-from=dbf-list and dbf-list would contain this:

Rsync help needed...
Hello, I was reading your posts about RSYNC. We have a massive Oracle schema lots of datafiles about 750 GB size. We do rsync datafiles from source to target server but everytime we cleanup the datafiles on the target server and do rsync every 2 weeks. On the target side mostly the datafiles will be same but on source we might have added few datafiles or made some changes in data and as such the

rsync of file list
Hi All, I would to rsync data spread of many files from remote site. Each file may exist in total different location - the path for each file may be different. My question is: Can I do it one single rsync command, giving a file containing list of paths as parameter, or do I need to run rsync for each file. I did not find any option doing it in the man page. I tried to play with

Please help: confusing dmesg messages
Hi, I got a few centos 5 boxes installed for tests and find the following confusing messages from ?dmesg? command: Your BIOS doesn't leave a aperture memory hole Memory: 4043392k/5242880k available (2397k kernel code, 150460k reserved, 1222k data, 196k init) The machine has only 4GB memory chips installed only, so where comes the number ?5242880k? for memory? Per User Quotas
HI All Asking for a little patience and a bit of help here. I'm using dovecot-1.1.3_1 with postfix and squirrelmail. I have implemented a global quota successfully. That works fine. I want to now implement per user quotas. So far I have read the howto in the documentation and searched several threads but can't seem to get it working properly. My LDAP server is Windows 2003 Active

quota using wrong limits in user shared mailboxes
Hi, I confirm this bug with LDAP userdb. The temporary workaround is to set quota ignore rule for Shared namespace or specific shared folder. This is obviously not secure workaround. Example: for a shared namespace: namespace ( .... prefix = Shared Folders/%%u/ ... } you have to set quota_rule4 = Shared Folders/*:ignore or quota_rule4 = Shared Folders/username/*:ignore - Bartlomiej

how to disable quota for second namespace?
Hi all, I have a second namespace as archive, where no quota should be active (work with type = shared). But if I change the type to private the quota will allways count. My dovecot version is the 2.0.13. I have tried things like this: plugin { quota_rule = *:storage=500M quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+100M quota_rule3 = Sent:storage=+50M quota_rule4 = ns=archiv/%u/:ignore } It's

Dovecot 1.1 Quota Plugin Configuration?
With 1.0 I had the quota plugin set to allow some accounts to have no quota by setting their size (in bytes) to 0 (via mysql). Following the upgrade to 1.1 this no longer seems to work and has resulted in a lot of annoyed people having messages bumped :-( The config I have is as follows... quota = maildir quota_rule = *:storage=15M quota_rule2 = Trash:ignore quota_rule3 =

Hello, I've tried searching for information regarding this problem but haven't found anything. Currently I have a Dovecot 2.0.9 with virtual users from a SQL table. Right now I'm only using global quota limits. Here is my quota setup: plugin { quota = maildir:User quota quota_rule = *:storage=3G quota_rule2 = Trash:storage=+100M quota_rule3 = Archive:storage=+1G

antispam plugin pipe script seems not to be called when it "should be"
Hello, (Full "doveconf -n" output is at the end of this message.) I'm attempting to recreate a "recipe" I had used successfully for quite some time (in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS), which allowed me to train SpamAssassin's Bayes database when someone dragged an email message from one sub-folder of the account to another. I later tried to re-implement it (in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS),

Possible to set quota in size and number of messages
Hi Reio and list, It appears placing it at the end of the quota rules and then manually recalculating the quotas via doveadm has solved the problem! Configuration: plugin { quota = dict:User quota::file:%h/dovecot-quota quota_rule = *:storage=10G quota_rule1 = INBOX/Inbox:storage=+30M quota_rule2 = INBOX/Trash:storage=+30M quota_rule3 = INBOX/Deleted
