I am thinking of buying a Logitech C920S Pro HD or C922 webcam for the necessary video conferencing. Is anyone using that with Zoom or perhaps with Jitsi? Do I need drivers? Any issues? Thank you.

Camera is working (tested with cheese). In the audio settings of Gnome perferences I see an internal microphone which doesn't produce any input. The microphone is also not disabled by the key on

Publishing a webcam on a web page?
This talk of cameras has reminded me of a problem I've not yet been able to solve. I have a Logitech Communicate STX ( ID 046d:08ad Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Communicate STX ) This seems to work under v4l on CentOS 5.4. If I load xawtv (from rpmforge) then I can view the image from the camera. But what I'd like to be able to do is have the image appear on a web page (maybe streaming

Echo cancellation with different sound card for speaker and microphone
I'm developing an application that have a video conference component. For that I need echo cancellation, and is looking around for algorithms/implementations of that, and the one in speex is an alternative. Logitech Brio 4K Ultra HD Webcam - 960-001105
Everyone, I was hoping to be able to plug the Logitech Brio in and have it work, but it did not. I can have it connect to a Windows 10 laptop and have it function, so I know the camera works. ? The Centos 7.4 is recognizing it when I plug in the usb 3.0 cable. The results of dmesg demonstrated : [ 4519.922257] input: Logitech BRIO as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:04.0/0000:03:00.0/usb9/9-4/9-

Hi I've whined about this before, but now I feel the overwhelming urge to whine some more. Forgiveness begged... :) I've spent some very frustrating times trying to get a microphone to work when doing skype calls. According to the various sound tools available on Centos all the various mics I have (built into webcam, analog headset, USB headset)produce sound just fine. but when using

Live Ogg Vorbis/Theora Streaming Software
Hi, Its been a while since I posted to this list. I have finished an application to stream Live Ogg Vorbis/Theora to file or Icecast server for Windows users. For example, you can stream your webcam/radio station with it. Maybe this will help make more Theora streams available as there seems to be very little Windows support. Some features are as follows: - Connects to DirectShow Input

The question is: what would you suggest as an easy-to-use yum-installable app that could handle a couple of minutes/hours of recording? People who are about to use it are complete noobs, and I would like to give them a
