SpeexBits ...
Hi Marian, I took a brief look at RFC 5574 and as far as I understand, you can simply do it like this: SpeexBits b; speex_encode(state, some320bytePCM1, &b); speex_encode(state, some320bytePCM2, &b); After that, get the encoded data with speex_bits_write and put it in your packet. RFC 5574 and multiple frames
Hello all, I am experimenting with Speex in a mobile VoIP application, and it seems that it is worth stuffing more than one codec frame into a single RTP packet; mainly, that sending several frames per packet relieves the underlying network socket connection, which is notoriously problematic in mobile devices. RFC 5574 defines the exact way how to put multiple Speex frames into a single RTP

Error while trying to manage file share
I checked my entire setup again and again. Now I can see the my share. The most relevant change I did (afaik - ofcourse): - since I am using ad backend I created dedicated unix admin groups (as recommended in the docs) - I removed the $ from the share section/defnition ([projects$] -> [projects]) - I changed browseable switch from 'no' to 'yes' Iam still getting the "event

Revealing linux quota to windows users?
Hello! I know this must be an old topic, but I can't quite find an answer in the archive or the Howto. I would like to know if it's possible to show the user quota instead of the disk size when users open their home directoy as a share. (I think it's kind of misleading when it says "480GB free" to a user who has only 500 MB space.) Thanks! Marian

CPU Compatibility Question
Hi All, Hopefully someone with broad overview of CentOS compatibility issues can comment on this: I am evaluating a Supermicro X10SLM motherboard with an Intel E3-1231 v3 CPU. Testing with boots from Live DVDs, the CentOS 6.x family is panicking at boot time. I have tried 6.8, 6.5, and 6.3, and each one panics at slightly different points, but they all seem to fail after udev starts up (or

RFC: slow-down option
Hello, I've been using rsync on some backup servers for years. In 2011 we had a situation where the FS of the backup server was behaving strange, even thou there was enough available I/O, the fs(ext4 on 16TB partition with a lot of inodes) was lagging. After much testing we found that rsync was hammering the fs too hard. At that point I patched rsync to add a stupid option which will sleep

INVAL Messages
All, Has anyone seen INVAL messages on an IAX link before? I'm occasionally getting them from my Gateway provider, and I need to narrow down the potential cause. Symptoms are: Incoming calls fail, I see NEW, AUTHREQ then INVAL messages between the two A*k boxes... then for no reason at all it'll start working ok again.. My Asterisik: 1.2.10, Gateway A*k : 1.2.0

"More than two wideband layers found. The stream is corrupted." problem
Dear Speex developers, I am currently experimenting with Speex on Symbian smartphones. I have compiled the Speex library, and I am now using it in the following way: 1. Record 320-byte buffers of data in PCM16 format, 8000 Hz sampling rate. 2. Feed the resulting buffer to an instance of a narrowband Speex encoder. 3. Send the encoded data over RTP. 4. Upon receiving on the other side, feed the

Apache in chroot reporting every client is 16.0.0.0
Not sure where to start on this. I went to examine a log file today and noticed a password protected internal file was being accessed from 16.0.0.0. Upon further review every log entry has the same IP. Accessing apache from localhost also reports 16.0.0.0. Google is not being my friend right now, any advice? Mail Question
Hello everyone, Im having a issue that I just cant seem to figure out. We currently are running an email server Centos 5.6 Postfix/Dovecot with a squirrelmail frontend. I was setting up a testbed to do a migration to SoGo using LDAP/MYSQL/POSTFIX/Dovecot. I have everything up and functional but one thing is giving me an issue. The testbed box will not handle a users mailbox over 2gb. We are using
