Asterisk 1.4.4 reproducibly dumps core on Solaris 10
I have built Asterisk 1.4.4 on my Solaris 10 x86 box:
LDFLAGS='-R/usr/sfw/lib -R/opt/csw/lib -L/opt/csw/lib -L/usr/sfw/lib'
CPPFLAGS=-I/opt/csw/include ./configure -with-curl=/opt/csw
--without-oss --without-vpb --prefix=/opt/asterisk-1.4
The build and install go fine but the asterisk executable reproducibly
dumps core with a segmentation violation.
If I start it as: asterisk -gc and

Dynamic loading changed in asterisk 1.4
Hi all,
I have browsed through a couple of posts that deal with the failure of
applications that originally worked on asterisk 1.2 but fail on asterisk
1.4, but can't seem to understand what I need to change in my installation.
I also went through the CHANGES.txt file in my asterisk source directory,
and still was none the wiser.
I have a a MySQL integrated Prepaid application which worked

rx_fax and Asterisk 1.4.2
Hi,
I have recently upgraded from Asterisk 1.2.15 to 1.4.2 and I'm
experiencing trouble

http://www.sems.org/entry.asp?ENTRY_ID=197
I'm using spandsp-0.0.3pre28 and the app_rxfax and app_txfax
from:
http://www.soft-switch.org/downloads/snapshots/spandsp/test-apps-asterisk-1.4/
rx_fax and tx_fax are both enabled via make

Calling a Macro with arguments in AstApplication/AstApplicationData
Hi All,
This question is probably more for the LDAP experienced users/developers as
I'm sure it would work fine if I weren't using LDAP (but I am, and I'm
almost there with the setup!!!).
I've setup an extension with the following:
AstExtension: 210
AstApplication: Macro
AstApplicationData: call-ext,SIP/testuser&IAX2/testuser,210
When I dial this extension, I see the

ael context ~~s~~ in macros broke Dial() U() option in 1.6.2.17.2 and newer
Hi,
I think this must be a bug introduced with 1.6.2.17.something.
When I upgrade from asterisk-1.6.2.16.1 to asterisk-1.6.2.17.2 or 1.6.2.18,
my AEL Dial() commands with the "U" options fail with the following error:

Hi all,
I am testing with Asterisk 1.8.0 beta3 using realtime with a mssql server using freetds and unixodbc, which works with 1.6.1.20.
With the same config in 1.8 I get an error when trying to start asterisk which says:

Unable to load cdr_adaptive_odbc.so
Hi all,
I am having trouble getting cdr_adaptive_odbc to work.
I have correctly configured the odbc drivers and dsn (I have tested
this by connecting directly using isql). I have also configured
/etc/asterisk/cdr_adaptive_odbc.conf like so:
[test-asterisk]
connection=test-asterisk-odbc
table=cdr
I have tested the ODBC connection test-asterisk-odbc and it works correctly
However when I try to

I've loaded Asterisk 1.4 with the addons 1.4, libpri 1.4 and Zaptel 1.4

the database. When doing an Asterisk load with asterisk -vvvv I saw the

Installing 1.4.23-rc2, I actually looked at the startup and saw this
warning:
WARNING[10730]: loader.c:359 load_dynamic_module: Error loading module

I'm running Fedora Core 9, with libc-client 2007d. googling didn't help,
so what's the problem? Do I need a more recent (different) libc-client?
