Bug report: "doveadm rename" encodes special characters wrongly in mUTF-7 (in fs)
Hello there, I'm pretty sure I found a bug in latest Dovecot 2.2.5.5 (EE) when playing with the doveadm command. Naturally renaming a users mail folder should be done via "doveadm es consistent. So when using "doveadm rename" trying to rename a folder with special characters e.g. german umlauts like "??" it seems to create the folder wrongly in the filesystem.

Load goes up imap-login
Every so often recently I've seen the load on my heavily under-used dovecot server (1 mailbox) rise up to 1 A top shows imap-login to causing the issue. I have checked /var/log/secure, /var/log/maillog, /var/log/messages and cannot see anything unusual. Anybody else seen something like this? # 2.2.5: /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: Linux 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 x86_64 CentOS release

Sieve vacation reply problem (Dovecot+Sieve/Sendmail/Horde)
Hello Dovecot community, I have an annoying problem with successfully activating Sieve vacation replies - on which I have been working hard the last days without success :( I'm using Dovecot 2.2 + Sendmail + Sieve connected with Horde web-mailer IMP H3 which is generally working fine. BUT: Whenever I activate vacation script in Horde (via Ingo) and send a test-mail to this account, the mail

Package integrity check via SHA256 or OpenPGP possible?
Dear list, I'm using R in a corporate environment and was interested how R checks integrity of packages during an installation. I saw (and verified my suspicion in the code[1]) that the verification purely relies on MD5. >From an IT security perspective, this can be improved. My question is: Is is possible to force R to verify integrity via SHA256 or even OpenPGP signatures? If not are

BUG report: doveadm HEADER <field> <pattern> when concatenating with another Search key
Hey there, I'm pretty sure I've found a bug with doveadm when concatenating with another search key. While doveadm HEADER <field pattern> works fine when not using additional search keys, it doesn't work properly when concatenating with other serarch keys - it then simply seems to ignore the additional HEADER <field pattern> search key. It's reproduceable, also

Recommended tool for migrating IMAP servers
Hi Friends, I would like to ask you a suggestion: I need to migrate a imap server to a new one and then dismiss the old one. Reading from relative Dovecot documentation page (https://wiki.dovecot.org/Migration), more tools are shown: UW-IMAP's mailutil, imapsync, YippieMove and Larch. The each mail servers are Linux based, one of this (mine) is Dovecot. Based on your experience which of

Migrating from CommunigatePro to Dovecot - anyone done this?
Apologies if this is in the archive - did look but couldn't find it. Does anyone have any experience of migrating from CommunigatePro to Dovecot? We currently run CGP 5.3.4, supporting a small system (20 or so users, one domain). We've been using it for years, and have a mixed bag of MailDir and mbox folders accessed via IMAP clients. Some users have large mail accounts (15GB total).

[LLVMdev] Address space extension
Hi Micah, On 08/10/2013 06:01 AM, Micah Villmow wrote: > Michele, > Why can not the target triple implicitly encode the address space mapping? I would not expect address spaces to map correctly if I compile OpenCL code on an AMD device and then compile the IR on an NVidia device. Even an AMD device targeted from OpenCL could have a different mapping than the same AMD device targeted from

Imapsync for sure. Have used it for both IMAP to IMAP and IMAP to Exchange migrations. Works great. > On Dec 3, 2017, at 2:08 PM, x9p <dovecot at x9p.org> wrote: > > Hi, > > I vouch for imapsync. user data transfer when migrating to new server
I;m setting up new server, what are the options for transferring user's mail ? I've tried imapsync, that seems to work well, but, what options do I have for doing accounts or domains where I don't know user's password ? last time I've done, some users had lengthy period of re downloading 'old' mails from new server, is there a way to overcome this ? thanks, V

Is it to be used anyway or should be avoid? Many thanks again Davide

Making Knitr work
Might not be the best place to ask, but i could get lucky.. I have setup an eclipse environment to write sweave files lately and wanted to switch to knitr. I could get it to work on easy files, but my earlier written sweave file fails to be knit properly. Here is the error message: Quitting from lines 273-276: Error in setwd(base.dir) : kann Arbeitsverzeichnis nicht wechseln (it says: cannot
