Hey guys, I'm trying to instal gd-devel onto a CentOS 7 host. --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: gd-last-devel-2.1.1-2.el7.remi.x86_64 (remi) Requires: libvpx-devel(x86-64) You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest But when I try to do that I get the error you see above. reference page for Apache test page & the project
Some or all of you may be aware that people often contact the CentOS Project because they come across the default Apache server test page on a non-centos.org domain. In trying to contact the domain owner, they mistakenly contact us. This is despite the language at the bottom of the page telling them what they are seeing and not to contact us about it. This has come up for me in responding to

how to push the bounds and get newer packages for centos 5.4?
i've just started looking after a (virtual) centos 5.4 server that's hosted at rackspace and, unsurprisingly, it was set up with all the standard defaults. part of the work i'll be doing involves php and, as i read it, the standard php version with centos 5.4 is php-5.1. if i *wanted* to move up to a more recent version (say, php-5.3), obviously, i'd need to go outside the

Centos 7 and php 5.5
I am hoping that the wisdom of the group here can at least point me in the right direction. I have a Centos7 server that I need to upgrade php from 5.4 to 5.5. I've tried several tutorials to add the remi repository and enable php55, but I always end up at the same result: Error: Package: php-5.5.38-1.el6.remi.x86_64 (remi-php55) Requires: httpd-mmn = 20051115

fix firefox?
I once had firefox x86_64 installed (because it was the default). But that one has problems with plugins (flash, java), which are much easily solved by using the i386 version. So I unstalled firefox, and installed it again using: yum install firefox.i386 This worked, and even the plugins worked fine afterwards. I did have some problems when uninstalling, because yum insisted on a whole load

xulrunner-devel package missing many header files
Hi, I've just installed xulrunner-devel from yum, but there are following header files cannot be found in xulrunner-sdk-1.9/sdk/include: mozilla-config.h mozilla-config32.h prtypes.h The include/xulrunner-sdk-1.9 constains those above header files, I did link to them, but xulrunner-sdk-1.9/system_wrappers/prtypes.h has a problem as well: #pragma GCC system_header #pragma GCC visibility

xulrunner-devel dependencies
What's the deal with all of the new dependencies for xulrunner-devel in the last update? I'm updating my servers and the update for xulrunner-devel is forcing me to install 43 new packages! Is this a packaging problem, or are all of those packages really needed? For the moment, I've been removing xulrunner-devel from my machines to avoid the problem. I figure since it is a

Installing an *older* version of xulrunner (eg as a compatibility package)?
Is there a way of installing xulrunner-1.9 along side xulrunner-10.0? xulrunner 1.9.2.26 available in repackaged form for use with legacy programs
I have re-packaged xulrunner 1.9.2.26 for CentOS 5 for use with older applications which can't be run with xulrunner 10.0.4. I created 'compatibity' RPMs that can be safely installed alongside xulrunner 10.0.4. I needed it to run the Evergreen 2.1 and 2.2 Staff Clients at our local library. The RPMs are available in the Deepwoods Software repo at the URL:

xulrunner 1.9.0.19-1: Does it exist or what?
According to 'yum info xulrunner' version 1.9.0.19, release 1.el5_5 exists and is an available package. But when I try to update it, yum claims there is nothing to do and when I try a general update, yum complains that it cannot update firefox because it cannot find xulrunner >= 1.9.0.19-1. What is going on here? I am doing this on a desktop x86_64 system that I recently brought up
