Samba4 consumes more CPU
Dear Andrew, As per your suggestion , I have attached the gdb log of the samba and smbd process log running in the single server mode. Also when I noted in the perf top, libndr.so consumes the maximum cpu. I noticed that it happens soon after sometime the samba process is started and the CPU is filled up. Since the samba process occupies 100% atleast two or more CPUs out of 8 CPU , the clients

Cannot override default -O3 flag on Winodws, dll does not have symbols
In trying to compile a package with c code using Rtools, -O3 is added by default. This comes from Makeconf? Compiler flags (CFLAGS="-O0 -g" ) set in src/Makevars.win or src/Makevars appear before this. nm pkg.dll reveals no symbols! How can I compile a Windows package with "-O2 -g"? Thanks, RT -- View this message in context:

[LLVMdev] LLVM2.2 x64 JIT trouble on VStudio build
> The x86-64 one probably doesn't work for Winodws. That's likely the > issue. Well, x86-64 stub was never ported to intel assembler, I expect to see 32-bit one used on windows64. In general, the whole windows64 support is missed mainly due to crazy calling convetion invented by Microsoft. So, all calls from code being JITed to external functions will be clearly broken (if they

Bug in tools::md5sum - does not work when filepath contains tilde (ie home directory)
I've reproduced on ubuntu and winodws with R3.4.3 When the filepath contains a tilde, the result is NA. But if the file path is expanded then the function works. Example: tools::md5sum("~/.Rprofile") returns NA tools::md5sum(normalizePath("~/.Rprofile")) returns the proper md5 Perhaps this is expected behaviour because the documentation does say NA is returned for
