Problems with qemu img disks allocated in a nfs share
Hi all, I have a strange problem with qemu img disks allocated in a nfs share on a CentOS 6.4 host. Every time when I try to start a vm this error appears: char device redirected to /dev/pts/1 qemu-kvm: -drive file=/data/vmachines/win2k12adsrv/win2k12vol01.img,if=none,id=drive-virtio-disk0,format=qcow2,cache=none: could not open disk image /data/vmachines/win2k12adsrv/win2k12vol01.img:

Automatic startup xen domains
Hi all, I have installed a CentOS 6.4 x86_64 host with official centos-xen packages. I am using virt-manager to create, remove, etc .. vmachines. All works really really well except automatic domains startup. Where libvirtd stores domains configurations?? Under /etc/libvirtd/qemu not, like it does when I use kvm instead of xen. Then, how can I automatic startup certain xen domains??

WindowsPE 10.0 -- Samba 4.4.5 connection problem
Hello, we use WindowsPE and a Samba-Share to install Windows. First WindowsPE is booted and then a network drive with Windows-install-files is mapped. This worked fine with WindowsPE 5.0. But with WindowsPE 10.0 it fails. The error is: net use \\PC\test System error 58 has occurred. The specified server cannot perform the requested operation. I used a simple Samba-Config for testing and get

Re: kernel BUG at arch/x86/xen/mmu.c:1860!
Hey guys, i just wanne report that our debian squeeze xen machines are also influenced by this bug, and we tried the workaround with the debug option by building our own linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd64_2.6.32-31_amd64.deb but this isnt a workaround really, we tested it on an 40 vmachines dom0 and it just dont work, of course the lvm works but the machine is slow as hell and runs into several

Samba4 bug - "mount error(5): Input/output error"
Hi Rowland, do you maybe have any idea what could potentially cause this bug? smbclient thrwos me back a mount error(5): Input/output error when I try to mount the remote smbFS. It doesn't happen with my MacOSx and Windows 7 as client but it happens with Linux OSs and with a Konica Minolta copy machine with a scanner to samba function. The first try to mount fails with the above error.

All, is it possible to create a new KVM machine from an existing qcow (v3) image with snapshots? snapshot-list doesn't show them, when using virt-manager 1:1.5.1-0ubuntu1.1 to create the machine. * t-ad5.img: QEMU QCOW Image (v3), 42949672960 bytes chris@cd:/data/md0$ qemu-img snapshot -l t-ad5.img Snapshot list: ID TAG VM SIZE DATE VM CLOCK 1

Recover snapshots from qcow images
Hi guys, I had to move to the new laptop week ago and I screw migration of my virtual machines. I recovered my virtual machines on the new laptop (virsh define) using the backed up xml files, but I am missing any file with metadata about snapshots. The original storage is cleaned so I cannot take these files anymore. Using qemu-info I can see my snapshots inside the qcow images, but libvirt

virsh snapshot
Hi, I had a 'domain' called APP03. I was performing auto snapshots each night using /usr/bin/virsh snapshot-create APP03 . I then wanted the domain to be called APP01 for clarity's sake, so I did virsh dumpxml APP03 > APP03.xml, edited the name to APP01 and changed the ID. I then did virsh define APP03.xml to get APP01. I have now realised that the qcow2 images are huge (1.1TB

Handling of irregular time series in lineChart
Hi, I realized that when I have irregular series to feed into lineChart, the interval of each point in the chart does not seem to take care of irregular time interval I specified in my input xts time series. But rather, lineChart seems to take each point as equal spaced time series. For example, I have the following code: library(quantmod) options(digits.sec=3) t0 <-

They're *internal* qcow2 snapshots (original and delta are on the same file). A quick example of disk
