DNS issue with second samba DC
I have samba4 installed on two systems: ncssamba1 and ncssamba2. ncssamba1 is the PDC, ncssamba2 was joined to the domain using the instructions here: http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC
I had to manually add the DNS information as mentioned on that page. I can add a user and the user is replicated.
However, I have some issues with DNS resolving hostnames.

user creation with samba-tool issue
I am creating a user with samba-tool. I am essentially using the s4user script (very slight mods to echo some data and assign some site-specific data).
The syntax in the script for a test user is
samba-tool add user test.user47 Passw0rd!
The echo'ed output is (including echo of entities that are to be set via ldbmodify)

Samba 4 DNS failing on one server
I have two samba 4 AD DC running using the internal DNS. On one of them, DNS will fail after a short time (10-15 minutes). Restarting samba on this AD DC corrects the issue temporarily. This behavior started about 2 weeks ago. We had not made any changes to either system during this time so it is a complete mystery. I unfortunately used the latest version of samba from git (4.2) for creating

Bad packet length problem with "aes128-cbc" and openssh3.1p1
Hi,
I am trying to run openssh 3.1p1. But it is giving "Bad packet length" error
when I run sshd with default config file. On further investigation I found
that the error is coming only for the cipher algorithm "aes128-cbc". Also
the error comes only when I don't specify any protocol file
(/usr/local/etc/ssh_host_[rd]sa_key) or specify only "protocol 2" files.

Hello all,

this is my first Post in a Mailing List I hope everything goes fine.
?
We are running a Samba 4 DC (4.0.14, Version 4.1.4 has the same problem) as a second DC in our Windows Environment. This server is in a second site.
?
So after a while Samba 4 hangs and it is not possible to talk to the server via the RPC Protocol. So all samba-tools Commands like ?samba-tool drs showrepl? run

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it
does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all
the three machines.
