nlockdmgr listen on privileged port
hey list!
I am attempting to shore up some centos machines (ranging from centos
5 to centos 5.4) for pci compliance by changing the port that
nlockdmgr listens on to function under a privileged port.
So what I did was try to hardcode the port by editing /etc/sysconfig/nfs
# TCP port rpc.lockd should listen on.
LOCKD_TCPPORT=1011
# UDP port rpc.lockd should listen on.
LOCKD_UDPPORT=1011

I am trying to set a monitor file from the queue.conf as specified on
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+config+queues.conf In order to
avoid the default MONITOR_FILENAME format wich is:

Fwd: Re: Asterisk T.38 Pass-Through doesn't work
Hi!
I have exactly the same problem on asterisk 1.8.22.0 and also on separate
11.2.1 when sending fax to PSTN.
Tryed with spa-3102, spa-2102, Patton Smartnode 4634, and Zoiper softphone.
SpanDsp also works without any problem on my box.
As I remember it was a bug in 1.8.1.x that the a=T38MaxBitRate paramater
was sent as "maxBitRate". Without capital "M".

Need advice about models with ordinal input variables
Dear colleagues:
I've been storing up this question for a long time and apologize for the
length and verbosity of it. I am having trouble in consulting with
graduate students on their research projects. They are using surveys to
investigate the sources of voter behavior or attitudes. They have
predictors that are factors, some ordered, but I am never confident in
telling them what

routing for multiple uplinks + DNAT (LVS in my case)
Hi.
Contents:
1) Introduction
2) 2 Questions
* Introduction:
I used this HOWTO to use multiple providers.
http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.rpdb.multiple-links.html
The box is a load balancer, using the Linux Virtual Server.
We have a problem with lost connections, and it seems you
get issues when you combine this setup with DNAT [1].
The proposed solution [1] is to use these rules to mark

masq rules for LVS
Hi,
I need some special masq rules to allow internal servers to resolve public IP''s which are loadbalanced by LVS - the rule are:
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -m ipvs --vaddr <LVS PUBLIC IP>/32 --vport 80 -j SNAT --to-source <LVS INTERNAL IP>
Also I need to enable:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/conntrack
Currently I do all this from /etc/shorewall/started - but is

[PATCH] daemon: lvm: Ignore LVs with the activationskip flag set (RHBZ#1306666).
When listing logical volumes, ignore the ones which don't get
activated automatically. No /dev/VG/LV device node is created for
these ones which confuses APIs that attempt to do 'guestfs_lvs'
followed by opening the device node. Note that 'guestfs_lvs_full' is
unaffected by this change.
