ASUS M2V mobo issues
We have 4 systems supported by ASUS M2V mobos with AMD2 cpus on board. No
we haven't gotten CentOS of any flavor to work yet. Yes, we did load Fedora
Core 6 and it worked, with respect to the SATA driver only. There is a
RAID, Audio and LAN driver for Linux that comes on the M2V mobo CD. The
audio driver installs and works fine on FC6. I've read many of the messages

Gutsy Xen 3.1 2.6.22-9-xen network-bridge problem
Hi,
I have a strange problem with my networking setup. I read all forums around
the world where people had similar problems, but couldn''t find a solution.
I have an Attansic L1 gigeth chip on my mainboard. This chip works OK in
stock Ubuntu Gutsy (development) 2.6.22-9-generic kernel.
When I boot into Xen, and after the bridge is created, the network stops
working. Some info:

help - Theora/Vorbis/Ogg, ogmmerge and ffmpeg2theora
Hi,
I'm probably being fairly stupid. But I did the following, starting with
the following two files:
# tcprobe -i vts_01.m2v
[tcprobe] MPEG elementary stream (ES)
[tcprobe] summary for vts_01.m2v, (*) = not default, 0 = not detected
import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576]
aspect ratio: 16:9 (*)
frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3
# tcprobe -i vts_01.m2a

ASUS M2V?
Anyone use the ASUS M2V motherboard. This is the current board I am
looking at for AM2/HVM because of the number of slots.
Thanks,
Greg

Chip set support
Hi folks.
I,m thinking of purchasing an ASUS mother board with this chip set in it.
NVIDIA? nForce? 430 MCP
Lan= NVIDIA? nForce? 430 MCP built-in Gigabit MAC with external Attansic PHY.
Any one know how well the chip set is supported. Any comments?
Thanks John

TS from DVB-T to Theora + Vorbis
Hello,
Could you kindly point me to some instruction, how to encode demuxed
files (.m2v and .mp2) to .ogg (Theora + Vorbis)? I was trying to use
ffmpeg2theora, but I don't know, how to put two files to ffmpeg2theora
(one audio an one video) and did not found, how to mux them into one
file?
Exist a way, how to do two pass encoding?
I'm using Ubuntu Fiesty Linux.
Thank you,

xen does not work with amd64 kernel but works with 686
Hello,
I have problems running Xen (from Debian 7, i386 userspace) on Asus P3-AE5
system (M2V-TVM board) with Athlon 64 3000+ CPU (AM2, 1.8GHz).
In short, Xen is not accessible from amd64 Linux kernels but works fine with
686 kernels.
Long version:
xen-system-i386 (4.1.4-3+deb7u1) works fine with linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae

Not sure if my bridge is the problem or my firewall
I''m running Xen and created a virtual os called Domain-1. So now I have two
systems, Domain-0(dom0) and Domain-1(dom1), both running fedora 8. I only
have 1 ethernet device eth0. However, for some reason, my internet doesn''t
work in Domain-1.
My output for route -n on Domain-0 is:

Belkin USB UPSes
I just bought a pair of Belkin USB UPSes -- F6C1200-UNV and F6C550-AVR --
and installed the latest version of nut under Ubuntu 7.04. I'm using
the F6C1200-UNV.
My system does see the device; dmesg says

[ 82.941189] usb 2-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

rsync 2.5.0 released
I am happy to announce a new stable release of rsync-2.5.0. This
supersedes 2.4.6 and 2.4.7pre4.
In particular, this release is supposed to fix the hang bug
experienced by many people when using the -v option. rsync 2.5.0
also adds support for IPv6, and works on more platforms. Other
enhancements are listed in the NEWS file below.
