pgadmin3 missing dependencies
I searched the list archives and I found one answer to this which suggested I should install the PG yum repos. I don't like that answer for reasons which follow. I'm running Centos 6.0 freshly installed, and I've decided that with this box I'm sticking as much as possible to just the CentOS repos that go with that release. I figure in particular I do not need any PG features

Yes. I tried that already. Not straightforward. data <- read.csv("20_newsgroups.csv",fill=TRUE,as.is=T,header=F, quote="", sep=",", encoding="UTF-8") This line does read it haphazardly. The emails in the column are split into multiple columns and there are several columns with just ?NA?. Totally 202 columns. And then I removed columns with NA?s and

[netcf] Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself?
Hi All, I have a usage question about netcf. Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself? If you have any other method, please share to me, or can we add support for it in netcf? You can see the following steps for details. Version: netcf-0.2.4-1.el6.x86_64 kernel-2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 1. Select a existing NIC from host, for example eth1. [root@rhel6 ~]# ncftool

[HOWTO] Running Xen 4.0 host (dom0) with Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL6)
Hello, If you're interested in running Xen 4.0 hypervisor/dom0 on RHEL6, take a look at here: http://wiki.xen.org/xenwiki/RHEL6Xen4Tutorial It explains steps needed to rebuild Xen 4.0.1 src.rpm from Fedora on RHEL6, and how to fetch dom0 capable 2.6.32.x kernel from upstream git repository. It also shows how to get libvirt/virt-manager working with Xen on RHEL6. Hopefully it helps :) --

unable to ping from guests in virbr0 to guests in virbr1 network
Hi all, I have 3 guests (2-RHEL4 and 1 RHEL6) and have some issues regarding networking between them. The 2 RHEL4 system's use default bridge virbr0 and get ip's of range 192.168.122.0/24 (192.168.122.207, 192.168.122.167) I created another bridge (virbr1) with NAT forwarding (no dhcp). The network i choose was 192.168.100.0/24. And the third system (RHEL6) was assigned static ip-addres

augeas, rhel6, setm
It turns out augeas on RHEL6 is 0.7.2, which does not have ''setm'' command available. ''setm'' is available in augeas release 0.8, which is available in EPEL, but not available for RHEL6 (the reason is the package is already in RHEL6, thus no package would be released in EPEL for this. All I want to do is to put console=ttyS0 on all kernel lines in /etc/grub.conf.

OpenSSH and stdin/stdout assigning
Hey, guys, I have a question about a difference between openssh 4.3 and 5.3. I have plenty of servers with RHEL5 and RHEL6. Most of RHEL5 servers have openssh-server version 4.3p2-72.el5_6.3 (kernel 2.6.39-100.7.1uek) And RHEL6 servers have 5.3p1-111.el6 (kernel 3.8.13-35.el6uek.x86_64) So there is the difference in assigning stdin and stdout for ssh connections. Openssh 4.3 assigns socket (I

centos6 filesystem size limit
I just read the rhel6 filesystem size limit. http://www.redhat.com/rhel/compare/ It says 16TB limit for ext4 (same as ext3)?!?! I thought ext4 was supposed to support 1EB ( ~ 1 million TB) limit. That was one of the main advantages of rhel6. After a little more digging all I found was that the user space formatting tools (mkfs.ext4) only support 32bit filesystems (not 48bits). I'm surprised

RHEL6 domU migrate issues w/ higher to lower frequency CPU''s
Hey folks, I''ve encountered a rather interesting/frustrating issue with RHEL6 domU''s and live migration. I have no problems booting a RHEL6 domU using its stock/native kernel on Xen 3.4.1 or Xen 3.4.3. But in terms of live migration, there seems to be a problem when moving from a higher (in terms of CPU MHz) to lower (MHz) system -- even if the higher of the two is a much

Is there any specific optimization/tunning on dovecot for use GFS2 on rhel6??, we have configured the director to make the user mailbox persistent in a node, we will

Installing rpy2 on Red Hat 6
I need to install rpy2 on RHEL6. The version of R in the 6 repos is 3.0, and rpy2 does not work with that version. I installed R 3.3.3 following the directions here: https://oguya.ch/posts/2017-03-18-building-R-on-rhel-6/. But even with 3.3.3 it's still failing. Using pip it fails with: /usr/local/lib64/R/lib/libR.a(CommandLineArgs.o): could not read symbols: Bad value and installing from
