how do I eliminate excess levels in lattice contourplot key / legend?
I'm working on a contourplot( ) graph, the subject of several previous posts to this list. The contours express probabilities from 0 - 1, but the key that is automatically generated by contourplot pads the probability scale with values that are impossible (i.e, range goes from -0.2 to 1.2), which will be confusing to those who view the plot. How can I get the scale to just run from 0 - 1?

Error running samba-tool dbtool --reset-well-known-acls
Hi, I updated my two samba DC's from 4.0.3 to serner 4.0.7. Both servers run debian wheezy and the add was created at the beginning of the year with an classic upgrade to version 4.0.0. Recent release notes do not provide information about required upgrade tasks. So i ran. samba-tool dbcheck --reset-well-known-acls. On the first DC it found a few errors about missong members in computer

Samba4 Internal DNS CNAME entries
I am currently in the progress of testing the replacement of a Windows 2003 DC with a Samba4-based one. In the DNS of old Windows DC we had CNAME entries to alias www.domain.com to serverX.domain.com and ftp.domain.com to serverY.domain.com. This is working and can be tested successfully with dig The CNAME entries were correctly replicated across to the internal DNS server on the new Samba4 DC

Samba 4.0.7 doesn't work with Russian credentials
Sorry about the lack of info. So in the wireshark trace, our printer smbclient 4.0.7 sends a Unicode value in Russian of ???? with a password of ????123. The server rejects the login attempt with STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE. The second attempt is with the linux version smbclient 4.0.7, and the same credentials to the same server work. The only thing I see different in the requests are the flags sent:

Replication Error Between Differing Samba Versions During Upgrade
Hello all- At the recommendation of the Catalyst team, instead of trying to get 4.0.6 replicating with 4.0.7, they suggested we try a later version (>=4.5) as those versions are much more recent and may have handled issues older versions just could not. Unfortunately that too did not work. They then suggested that an in-place upgrade, as if there was a bug in our 4.0.6 code that was causing

Slow FIND_FIRST2 response
I'm running Samba 4.0.7 on CentOS 6.4 running double duty as DC and file server. OS X clients are taking a _long_ time to list long directories. One directory with 10K entries is taking 3-4 minutes to display the entries in Finder. I captured a few seconds worth of packets and noticed that it's doing three requests per file: 1. NTCreateAndX - just opens the file 2. Close 3. FIND_FIRST2 -

samba4 and squid with NTLM auth
Hi. Samba-4.0.7 FreeBSD 10.0-CURRENT Besides serving files I'm using Samba to authenticate users in the Windows AD with squid. After having issues with samba 3.6.16 I decided to see if samba4 will fit me more. I was surprised, but I found that Samba 4 is fully functional in my environment and is nearly production-ready. After that I tried to setup squid to use samba for NTLM authentication.

Known SIP - NAT Solutions?
I have recently begun experimenting with Asterisk, and have been mightily impressed by its capabilities and flexibility. I have run across one problem, however, that challenges my ability to use it as a production system. My Asterisk box has a public Internet IP, and works great with SIP (ATA 186) clients that also have public IP addresses. Unfortunately, most of the locations that I would

Joining DC
I am having some trouble joining a new samba4 server as a DC. I am pretty sure this stems from trying to use OpenChange and subsequently removing it. The new samba4 machine is running 4.0.7 and the existing is running 4.0.1. I am a little hesitant to do an in-place upgrade of the last working DC, so I wanted a replica to fall back on in case things go bad. Any help would be appreciated. On the

[LLVMdev] Emitting IR in older formats (for NVVM)
This question is specifically motivated by the practical constraints of NVVM, but I don't know anywhere better to ask (hopefully, e.g., @jholewinski is still following), and I believe it concerns general LLVM issues: NVIDIA's libNVVM is built on LLVM 3.2. This means its bitcode and LL text parsers are from that generation. It's interface calls for adding modules as either bitcode

Changing IP Scope on a Samba DC
Andrew, I very much appreciate your swift reply and your expertise. I readily admit I'm a little out of my depth here. I'm sitting here in California at almost midnight with just the weekend to get done all I need to do on the network and I fear this may be derailing my plans. This article on the Samba Wiki https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Changing_the_IP_Address_of_a_Samba_AD_DC seems to

standalone ADDC with samba_internal dns backend - windows client do not register in dns
good lords of Kobol, that solved my problem ! thank you very much ! As we can consider this as an official workaround, should it be in the wiki ? Removing optimisation from sieve-binary-code.c gives success. Thank you to Stephan Bosch for testing this for me and pointing me in the right direction. My debugging was confused because dovecot flags

Saving boolean attributes
Hi, I''m just learning Ruby on Rails and ran into something where I know I''m either doing something very stupid or I''m missing something. My model as a boolean attribute called active_flag. In my Sql Server database this is stored as a bit value. I then setup a method in my controller called "deactivate". This is very simple, it does: def deactivate
