Samba Password Question.
Hi All - Quick question. Is there anyway that when a user first invokes Samba to map to a network share that they are asked to change their (samba) password. I've got a whole bunch of (samba) users who all have been given the same password and I want them to have to change it to one of their own choosing upon first login. how to set missing values in R
Hi, there. Can I ask how to set up missing values in R? Suppose I want to assign the missing value to the elements in vector which is greater than zero like this: x<-c(1,3,-1,0,4); after the missing value assignment, x becomes (NA,NA,-1,0,NA). Thanks! R-1.8.0 memory.limit()
Using R-1.8.0 (d/l and compiled on 2003-10-01) on WinXP, I seem to be unable to determine the maximum memory allocated to R. The help still says to use memory.limit(size=NA), but this returns the value NA. In addition, I have set --max-mem-size=2G but I run out of memory somewhere around 500Mb (which is why I am trying to find out how much memory is allocated). I don't have any other programs

New eudora problem - "mswmsg" not supported
I just upgraded from v0.9.9 to v0.9.32 (on Ubuntu 6.06) and Eudora Pro v4.2 stopped working. It no longer opens a mailbox when the icon is clicked. The log shows "fixme:rpc:alloc_serverprotoseq protseq "mswmsg" not supported" each time I click to open a mailbox. This was working on v0.9.9 so I am looking for ideas as to how to work around this problem. There is a bug

Some users can't log in -- server shows username as "nobody"
Okay, this is a recurring problem that really has me frustrated. I have a samba server that's using security=server. There are four people who use it. It works fine for three of them, but the fourth one gets endlessly prompted for his password and is never allowed to log in. All are from NT 4.0 clients. What's really puzzling is that when I look at the log at debug level 2, I get the

rect() question.
Hello. I have another rect question. If I want to make a lot of rectangular, without borders, and without any spaces between them, how could I do it? I.e. > plot(-1:1., -1:1., type = "n") > rect(0,-1,1,1,col="red",lwd=0,border=F,xpd=T) > rect(-1,-1,0,1,col="blue",lwd=0,border=F,xpd=T) will produce two rectangular, but there is space between them. How

[LLVMdev] use of undeclared identifier '__NR_*' error while building clang
Hi guys, I am following this[1] tutorial to install clang. However, I have made a small change in the configure command, and I am running it with '--enable-optimized' option to avoid the debug build. I am getting the errors (given at the end) related to *undeclared identifiers '__NR_*'*. Can someone please provide some input about how to tackle this issue? On my other machine, I

axis placement with stacked barplots and the asp=1 parameter
Hi, I'm currently using barplot to generate vertically stacked bar charts. I'd like to be able to use the "asp=1" parameter with barplot(), but doing this causes the y axis to be placed on the far left as shown in the attachment demo.pdf. I could get around this by using the negative values for the line parameter of the axis() function. I'd rather not do this and imagine

Dear All, This is a simple question, but I'm stumped about the simplest way to search a list object such as the following: This randomish snippet: n <- c(round(runif(round(runif(1,1,10),0),1,10),0)) alist <- new("list") for (i in seq_along(n)) { alist[[i]] <- c(round(runif(round(runif(1,1,10),0),1,10),0)) } names(alist) <- sample(letters[1:length(n)]) rm(n);c(alist)

[LLVMdev] LLVM IR on different platforms
Hi, I am curious to know about LLVM IR as platform independent feature. I have compiler some C and C++ applications that compiled on Linux 64bit machine, now I want to generate bit code file on Windows 64bit machine. 1) Will this execute without any issues? 2) Do I pass any option for making it operating system portable? 3) Can I generate bit code file also on Linux machine and then run on

[LLVMdev] Getting LLVM bit-code for programs using a couple of libraries
Hi guys, I am compiling some programs with clang which use a couple of libraries. When I compile with the command - "clang -O2 -I. -o hello -ldl -llttng-ust hello.c tp.c", it goes successful. My aim is to get the bitcode for these programs but if I try to generate the bitcode with -emit-llvm option, it produces linking issues as follows : (also at - http://pastebin.com/zkmL2SAH)
