[PATCH] Generalize HMAC implementation
Hello everyone and Timo in particular,
about a year ago I implemented a SHA-1 variant of the HMAC(-MD5) present
in Dovecot.
I had always disliked this a bit, because it replicates a lot of code.
This patch generalizes the HMAC function to take a hash_method struct as
parameter, and changes existing code which uses the "old" HMAC function
to use this new one.
I'm not really sure

[PATCH] Add SCRAM-SHA-1 password scheme
Hello,
attached is an hg export on top of the current dovecot-2.2 branch, which
adds support for a SCRAM-SHA-1 password scheme.
Ideally I'd want doveadm pw's rounds flag to apply to this, but that's
currently specific to the crypt password scheme, so I left it out for now.
Regards,
Florian Zeitz

[PATCH, RFC 0/13] OTP: add auth_cache_remove()
This patchset add support for One-Time-Password authentication mechanisms,
both S/Key (RFC 1731) and OTP (RFC 2444) are implemented.
Tested with mutt (uses cyrus sasl library for authentication).
Patches were made against CVS HEAD. Please take a look.
Add auth_cache_remove() function which will be used by OTP code to evict
old entries from auth cache.

"make check" test-hash-method bus error (Sparc alignment)
Hi there,
when doing "make check" for a 2.3.0 build on Solaris Sparc I get a bus
error due to an alignment issue.
It seems the error is only happening during testing, because in the
official API it was fixed in
https://github.com/dovecot/core/commit/d8361cc8576d9ede93a037f9b96f2a3f9b7e9054#diff-2ff53ae0e00a90ee20d648229ad91d2b
But the tests use hand written test vectors, that are

Test51 compile problems
First of all, thanks for a great product. I've been able to get dovecot
up and running with minimum pain. Very nice.
Running Fedora Core 2 with postfix using mysql for virtual mailbox
config. Got release version of dovecot working with a passwd-file, then
I wanted to try it out with using the same mysql db as postfix, so I
downloaded test51.
I run
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc

Segfault in auth (when talked to by postfix lda)
Afternoon all.
I'm seeing a segfault in dovecot 2.2.12 (debian package 1:2.2.12-2). I
can log into dovecot fine with mutt, but the segfaults seem to occur
when postfix (2.11.0, debian package 2.11.0-1+b1) tries to deliver a
message.
This was working fine under 2.2.9 (I can downgrade to that and delivery works).
Can anyone help? Doveconf -n, and backtrace follow.

High CPU utilization on Solaris 10
I've read similar post about such an issue, but have not seen any posted
solutions. I have a clean install of Solaris 10 running a Sunfire v440
w/postfix. I am using dovecote solely for SMTP authentication, and it is
working just fine except while running top I constantly see:
548 root 1 30 0 5240K 3416K run 522:51 49.45% dovecot-auth
The process never crashes, nor are there

PATCH: make local IP address available to auth modules
The attached patch makes the local IP address to which the client
connected available to the authentication modules; i.e., the local IP
address is available for substitution as %i for the mysql and pgsql
modules. We needed this feature to support thousands of our legacy
accounts which are authenticated by username/local_part (not the full
email address) and IP address (one per domain).
