OK, I've been banging my head on why my procmail setup for virtual users is no longer working (difficult to test, since enabling it breaks live user's mail). There are only a few virtual users who have any sort of filters in place anyway (the heavy procmail users are local, not virtual), and they are fairly simple, so I think I can recreate them with sieve. I think I have everything I

Using procmail to mark messages as read in dovecot
So, I use procmail extensively, and I have for a long time, but marking messages as 'read' in a Maildir has always been a little wonky: TRAP='mv "$LASTFOLDER" "${LASTFOLDER}:2,S"' Since I've switched to dovecot, is there a way to mark a message on delivery as read or not new or seen? -- Clarke's Law: Sufficiently advanced technology is

dovecot: imap-login: Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded (mail_max_userip_connections)
Hi, has anyone seen this issue before as I have not. I'm a long time dovecot user and I don't see anything in the config that should cause this. The mail.log gets hit a lot of times with this same log message: dovecot: imap-login: Maximum number of connections from user+IP exceeded (mail_max_userip_connections) I have noted that it is more evident when I try to mass delete many

Indexing Mail faster
Dear Peter, Noted. Thanks for your input. Appreciate it. At this point my urgent most priority is to get FTS. Waiting 3 mins for a body search email is bad(but of course my email box is large) I need to have this sorted out by today as I have been putting this off for too long mostly because of lack of troubleshooting documentation online(if i do figure this out will create some for guidance)

dovecot is working, sort of
I have dovecot setup and authenticating away for local users, but when I try to add MySQL users from postfix admin, not only does that fail, but all authentication fails. This configuration does not work: doveconf -n # 2.2.5: /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # OS: FreeBSD 9.1-RELEASE i386 namespace inbox { inbox = yes location = mailbox Drafts { special_use = \Drafts }

dsync crash
Hello, I am getting a persistent seg fault while trying to sync our server to a new location. We are on 2.2.33.2, due for an upgrade but we have used dsync successfully in the past. In fact, we used it to populate this same instance. So I hope this is just a configuration issue. My logs are being filled with these errors:: 2019-07-10T08:29:53-04:00 localhost dovecot: [ID 583609 mail.crit]
