Correct NTP Settings for Samba 4.0.6?
Hello,
I recently compiled Samba 4.0.6 (as an AD DC) and am running it on Ubuntu 12.04.
I followed the instructions on the Samba wiki (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Configure_NTP)
for how to configure ntp, however the domain clients are rejecting the DCs as
being acceptable time sources. Below is my ntp.conf:
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10
server 0.pool.ntp.org iburst

Intermittent access to Sysvol/Netlogon shares
Hello all-
Cutting to the chase, I'm noticing varying/intermittent access to the netlogon and sysvol shares. All clients are windows 7 and samba is 4.0.6. Some clients are able to run 'gpupdate /force' and will successfully apply updates. Other clients fail out on this and state that it can't read the default domain policy GPT.INI file from \\<domain>\.... When I try to

Logging LDAP Queries on Samba DC
Hello,
I see that this question was asked back in 2011:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2011-January/075519.html
Has the status of this changed? Is it now possible to log all LDAP queries sent
to a Samba DC? This would be an extremely useful feature!
Thanks,
Andrew Martin

Dropped calls when all DAHDI lines in use
Hello,
I am running Asterisk 11.17 with DAHDI 2.9.0 and an OpenVox A800P with 8x analog
POTS lines coming into my Asterisk server from the phone company. Internally, I
have about 180 SIP clients defined in sip.conf. What appears to be happening is
that if existing calls are consuming all 8 external lines and a new SIP client
attempts to make a call, an existing call gets dropped. The asterisk

Replication Error Between Differing Samba Versions During Upgrade
Hello all-
At the recommendation of the Catalyst team, instead of trying to get 4.0.6
replicating with 4.0.7, they suggested we try a later version (>=4.5) as those
versions are much more recent and may have handled issues older versions just
could not. Unfortunately that too did not work. They then suggested that an
in-place upgrade, as if there was a bug in our 4.0.6 code that was causing

"Retransmission Timeout" results in dropped calls after 32 seconds
Hello,
I am running Asterisk 11 on CentOS 6.4 with SIP clients (Yealink phones). All
the SIP clients are on a LAN, so no NAT is involved. I have been experiencing
an intermittent problem where a call will be successfully answered, but then
dropped by Asterisk 32 seconds after it is answered (with a "Retransmission
timeout reached on transmission" error). Here is an example of this

I've been poking at this more and think the root of the problem is a Kerberos
problem.
After joining this machine to the domain, it goes through a process that it
