"lxc-centos" container automation script
Hello, For me as a debianista who has need to run some software (Kolab) in the vendor(provider)-supported OS (CentOS), LXC is a godsend. However, lxc distributions I am aware of do not ship the "lxc-fedora" or "lxc-debian" equivalent to construct a container. I have thus set out to modify the former (please find the result attached). In the process of getting that to work

Theora Direct Show filters structure
I have a question about the theora dsf dlls. Specifically I would like to know which dlls are typically directly called by DirectShow and which tend to call each other. My impression from being in the code for a couple of days is that the dsf dlls, for example dsfTheoraDecoder and dsfOggDemux2 tend to get directly called by DirectShow, while the other dlls, for example libOOTheora or libOOOggSeek

Samba Permission Combination Conflict And Priority
Hi, I am a samba new user. When a share for user has one permission, it is OK. When a share for user has permission combination, there is something different in my thought. In Linux user system, a user can belong to multiple groups. For example: The user (uf) belongs to multiple groups (g_full and g_read) [root at node-107-174 /]# id 1017 uid=1017(uf) gid=1017(g_full)

"$<-" fails (invalid subscript type 'language')
This might be just beyond of my understanding of how assignment works in R, but the documentation does not say anything about: > tv <- c(a="dsf", b="sss") > tl <- list(232) > `$<-`(tl, tv[[1]], "sdfdsfdsfsd") Error: invalid subscript type 'language' This happens even before the method is dispatched. I can not handle the "name"

Guadec 2005 and DirectShow Filters
Hello all, I have been trying to play the Guadec Theora files ( http://stream.fluendo.com/archive/6uadec/ ) on Windows with no success. At first I thought it was just the machine which I was trying it on, but I now have seen another machine play other Theora files (Systm, Ubuntu Below Zero) without problems, but treat Guadec as just being audio files. I do also have another machine here which

Question: image_tag(source, options = {})
image_tag(source, options = {}) Ok, when I want to use an image I added the following code: <%= image_tag "dsf.jpg" options = {[align="right", style="padding-right: 10px; padding-top: 5px;"]} %> However, this doesn''t seem to work, it doesn''t like how I have the "options" part setup. I''m sure there is something very easy

[LLVMdev] eclipse and gdb
Hi, I am using Eclipse to edit the files, and I used it to debug with gdb as well (but I went back to gdb on the command line, Eclipse GDB UI is just too slow and buggy for me ..). You need to exclude the clang preprocessor/.. stress tests from the sources, otherwise the indexer will freeze Eclipse. You should also remove some autogenerated CMake project subdirectories, otherwise your files

set dataframe field value from lookup table
Hi This is (hopefully) a bit more cogent phrasing of a previous post. I'm trying to compute a z-score to rows in a large dataframe based on values in another dataframe. Here's the script (that does not work). 2 questons, 1) Anyone know of a more elegant way to calculate the "rounded" age value than the nested ifelse's I've used? 2) how to reference the lookup table

Theora with DirectX earlier than 9
Hello, I'm trying to use Theora video codec with DirectX 8 and DiretX 7. The problem seems to be out format of Theora decoder wich is YV12 and incompatible with DirectShow Video Renderer Filter. Do you know a filter able to convert YV12 to RGB, usable in a commercial application ? May I have to make such a filter myself ? Is is said in the README file of oggdsf archive : "You need

archive of legacy oggenc/oggenc2 encoders for windows?
Interesting - is there any easy way to tie each of these builds to a windows application? I'm really not so familiar with how to do those types of things - didn't even know what DSF was until a few minutes ago! recursively count the words occurrence in the text files
I just can't google for it: I'm searching for a "bash" "one liner" (awk, perl, or anything) for this: there are text files, in several directories: mkdir one mkdir two mkdir three echo "word1 word2 word3" > one/asf.txt echo "word2 word4, word5" > one/asfcxv saf.txt echo "word1. word2" > one/dsgsdg.txt echo "word6,

archive of legacy oggenc/oggenc2 encoders for windows?
I think if you are only interested in applications, your best bet for theora encoders is probably ffmpeg2theora, which I believe was used for most encoding tasks in past years. Note that it uses libtheora directly, while plain ffmpeg has its own theora encoder. The Theora files that ffmpeg used to create until recently were not of great quality, so I hope there aren't that many of those files

archive of legacy oggenc/oggenc2 encoders for windows?
Thanks for all the info - I was able to find exactly what I was looking for here: http://codecs.ex-sounds.net/ogg/vorbis/oggenc/ As for what I'm up to, I have a memory-limited port of the Tremor Vorbis decoder that I want to test on some older vorbis encoders for backwards compatibility purposes. Nothing too nefarious. ;) On Thu, Aug 6, 2009 at 8:59 PM, Silvia Pfeiffer <silvia at
