Dovecot / Win8 Mail App Folder Subscription Issue
Win8 RTM Mail App now supports IMAP. I am running Dovecot 1.2.15 on a Debian Stable server. The App works fine except the list of folders displayed seems to be a random subset of all my folders. I can't figure out how it's picking which folders to show, or how to change what's subscribed. Editing the "subscriptions" folder in ~/Maildir/ doesn't seem to have any

TLS/SSL for Win8 & Outlook
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello I recently upgraded to dovecot 2.1.7 (as supplied with Debian Weezy). All clients work as expected except for Outlook (2013 &2010) on Win8 with a SSL/TLS connection. (Thunderbird on Win8 and Outlook 2013 on Win 7 works fine. On my previous dovecot version 1.2.13 all clients worked.) As far as I understand, one difference is the support for

Where is lmhosts?
Hello Someone who has working lmhosts please tell me where it is (i.e., the path). I RTFMd man lmhosts and: 1) man hosts tells: SYNOPSIS: /etc/hosts. 2) man lmhosts doesn't tell anything about the path. 3) man lmhosts: "It is very similar to the /etc/hosts file format" - does it mean that the similarity is also in the placement of the file? 4) All config files are in

dtmf problem
Hello! I have asterisk updated from CVS on 31/8/2004 with sample configuration. I have just changed the sip.conf to register asterisk with sip proxy in out intranet. Then I can successfully make call to asterisk and go to demo IVR, but no response to dtmfs. I try to make call from several sip phones: Cisco7960, Ata186, Snom200. All of them send telephone-event in INVITE, but asterisk answers

Are XSA-289, XSA-274/CVE-2018-14678 fixed ?
Looks like this never got a response from anyone. In the end, it was effectively decided that these patches were not recommended until they were reviewed again and XSA-289 has no official list of flaws

libvirt RPC error
Hi, I'm using qemu+ssh://username at hostname/system as the remote URI. Libvirt seems to be communicating fine until some 2 minutes (we poll every 5 seconds) and then it throws up RPC error and many counters are wrong. But if I collect on localhost the counters seems to be coming fine. Test and testvm are guests on the local machine where as Win8 and Ubuntu* are remote URI's connected

virt-install flags affect my hvm performance?
Hi. This is related to hvm. I have read virt-install man page, I had read that we have a lot of flags, we can be very specific on how we build a hvm for win 2k3, 3k3, etc. Now, is important to be very specific on what we want to build or virt-install is smart enough to detect our dom-U OS we are building? Running this: virt-install -n win8-1 -r 2048 -f /opt/win8/win8-disk.img -b eth0

"could not parse ovf:Name" converting OVA
I got the "IE10 on Win 8" VM download from here: https://dev.modern.ie/tools/vms/linux/ and am trying to convert the .ova file to a format that will work with virt-manager and KVM on Fedora 21. I tried this: $ virt-v2v -v -x -i ova -o libvirt IE10\ -\ Win8.ova and got this output: virt-v2v: libguestfs 1.28.12 (x86_64) [ 0.0] Opening the source -i ova IE10 - Win8.ova tar -xf

Hi there, I have just purchased a new PC that came with Windows 8 Pro (Shudder...). I have been trying to add this machine to my Samba3 based domain. I'm getting the following error when doing so: The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location (SRV) resource record used to locate an Active Directory Domain Controller (AD DC) for domain "<blah>":

HP Envy EFI problem after BIOS update
I had to boot my HP Envy into Win8 for the first time in ages this morning. When I did that, it installed some updates including a BIOS update. Once this was all done, once again the GRUB boot menu was gone and it booted straight into Win8. Using the advanced boot manager options in Win8 I managed to get the EFI boot menu up and chose Ferdora 21. It was only after Fedora failed to boot that
