Errors creating Domu with xl/xm on Xen 4.1.5 with Fedora Dom0
I want to get couple of DomUs running with Xen. I installed Xen 4.1.5 from source on a Fedora 17 Dom0. I did some reading on configuring DomUs using xl/xm and cfg files. http://www.fclose.com/b/linux/2544/setting-up-lvm-backed-xen-domu/ http://www.fclose.com/w/Setting_Up_Xen_DomU_on_Fedora:_Unmodified_Fedora_on_Top_of_Xenified_Fedora_Xen_Dom0%23Install_Fedora_12_Linux_via_Internet So basically I

Re: [Fedora-xen] Virt-manager does not connect to libvirt/Xen? Xen 4.1.5 installed from source on Fedora 17.
Thanks for replying Dario, Yes, I saw your other e-mail too, but I''m afraid I can''t help much as I > always have: > - used xl only, when building Xen from sources, > - used Fedora Xen packages only, when using libvirt stuff > I just want to get couple of DomUs running, that is all. I''m not particular about which tool I use. Virt-manager seemed

dnsmasq does not start
Hi! I am trying to run tap networking with libvirtd. My test system is Fedora18/ppc64, libvirt 1.0.4 (compiled from git and installed). On another system with Fedora17/ppc64 with the same settings, dnsmasq is running. All configs in /etc/libvirt/ are default and not changed, the only exception is /etc/libvirt/qemu/networks/default.xml which I copied from Fedora17/ppc64 setup. What does

isolinux cd hangs at booting kernel
I've created a bootable cd with isolinux but it can't load the kernel. It detects everything fine, decompresses the initrd, loads and decompresses the kernel and then tries to boot the kernel. But after that the computer hangs. Here's the screen dump: ISOLINUX 1.73 2002-05-26 Copyright (C) 1994-2002 H. Peter Anvin isolinux: Starting up, DL = 9F isolinux: Loaded spec packet OK,

Xenstore daemon is not running after boot; although can be started manually later. Any pointers why ?
Hello, I build and installed Xen (4.1.3) from source, and I think I have got it working. Well, almost. I am using unmodified kernel of Fedora16 as my dom0 kernel. So this is what happened. I am able to boot into Xen, but the "xl info" failed with the standard error message mentioned in the tutorial. "libxl: error: libxl.c:56:libxl_ctx_init Is xenstore daemon running? failed to

Xen 4.1 compile from source and install on Fedora 17
Hello, I am relatively new to Xen and need help compiling and installing Xen from source. Using some tutorials online, I have got Xen working with the ''yum install xen'' method. I used virt-manager and was able to get 2 domUs working ( CentOS 5, and Fedora 16). My domUs reside on Logical Volumes in an LVM, on a second hard disk sda2, while my dom0 is installed on sda1.

Libvirt remote-client compilation for RHEL4
Hi, We are trying to compile Libvirt 1.02 from source for an RHEL4 target. Our virtualization hosts are running the fedora 17/ RHEL6 with the latest standard libvirt binaries. This is where VMs will be created. But our user/development machines are RHEL4 and we would like users to be able to use virsh/libvirt/python to control the Vms running on RHEL6/fedora17 remotely from the their RHEL4

isolinux probles
Hi, I'm trying to create a bootable CD, and so far I have had limited success. On the first CD I created, isolinux worked, but I think I had a kernel without the necessary initrd support compiled in, so the boot failed. Now I can't even re-create that success. At the moment the CD's I'm burning (3 so far) do not even show the display file. I used isolinux-debug.bin for the
