dovecot + virtio (9p2000.L) = errors
Hi! I hope someone knows more about the issues I've encountered in: Setup: I am running dovecot 2.1.7 on Debian Wheezy in a virtual machine (kvm-style qemu-kvm: host: ubuntu 13.04/1.4.0-dfsg-1expubuntu). The mail storage is a directory on the host machine mounted via virtfs (9p2000.L) on the guest. Furthermore ISPConfig is involved in that setup, but that should not make any significant

setacl fails - does not find dovecot-acl file
Hi, I'm using dovecot 2.0.13 that ships with Ubuntu 11.10. I tried setting up a shared namespace as documented in the wiki to enable the sharing of a mailbox between two users. I have a Maildir(++) directory for each user. Each user has a system account. The Maildir of each user is owned by the user's system account and group read/writable by the group mail (hence

Dovecot2 and mdbox problem
Hello, I've just installed Dovecot from the http://xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ repository. But I have a problem with the mdbox Format. When the home folder is empty Dovecot should create the folder structure if the first mail arrived or the user logs in the first time. But I get following error: Sep 16 12:30:41 smtp dovecot: lmtp(31244): Connect from local Sep 16 12:30:41 smtp dovecot:

noaclright
Hi, I recently upgraded to openSuse 12.1 which comes with dovecot 2.0.14. Because of mail-client-problems I am running one dovecot which requires authentication via a client-certificate and another one which can be used without a certificate. (Configurations can be found below.) Since the upgrade our shared mailbox is no longer visible. I tried to repair this by setting the ACLs once again (using

Unable to (un)subscribe mbox with AIX, NFS and netapp filer
Hi Timo, dovecot 1.2.0 is great! Faster and more stable on mboxes that 1.1.x by far... good job :-) Today I stumbled over a strange problem when I tried to subscribe an existing Mailbox (mbox), which doesn't work. doveot reporting "No space left on device" - yet df show plenty of space / inodes.
Hi, I am running dovecot 1.0.rc7 on a Suse Linux server. The server has approx 200+ mailboxes. Last week the filesystem (/dev/mapper/datavg/dat2lv) ran out of space - causing it to do into read-only mode. When I realised this I allocated some more space and re-booted the machine... Strangely it seems that dovecot is still having problems... It's like dovecot doesn't realise that
