[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: add skinny metadata support to progs V3
This fixes up the progs to properly deal with skinny metadata. This adds the -x option to mkfs and btrfstune for enabling the skinny metadata option. This also makes changes to fsck so it can properly deal with the skinny metadata entries. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <jbacik@fusionio.com> --- V2->V3: update the mkfs.btrfs man page with the new option This is based on

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix not being able to find skinny extents during relocate
We unconditionally search for the EXTENT_ITEM_KEY for metadata during balance, and then check the key that we found to see if it is actually a METADATA_ITEM_KEY, but this doesn''t work right because METADATA is a higher key value, so if what we are looking for happens to be the first item in the leaf the search will dump us out at the previous leaf, and we won''t find our item. So

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: remove unused variable and update btrfs-image man page
Remove unused variable in btrfs-image.c (update_super) and update man page documentation about -r option. Running btrfsck on a restored image produces missing chunk information. This is because by default, btrfs-image fixes up chunk tree to use 1 stripe pointing to the primary device. This in turns results in btrfsck making some noise. $ ./mkfs.btrfs /dev/sdb2 -f $ ./btrfs-image /dev/sdb2

[PATCH 1/2] btrfs: document where we use BUG_ON instead of error handling
Document those places in the btrfs code which are BUGing on non-fatal error conditions that should be handled by proper error paths. This makes it easier to distinguish between what needs fixing versus which BUG_ON''s we might want to keep (to trap code bugs, unexpected inconsistencies, etc). Do this with a trivial macro, ''btrfs_fixable_bug_on'' which just defines to

[PATCH 1/2] btrfs-progs: mixed back ref support
This patch adds mixed back ref support for btrfs programs. The mixed back ref is a new disk format. back compatilibity is still not implemented. To try the new disk format, you need fresh formatted btrfs. [RFC PATCH] Decrease Metadata Fragment Using A Caterpillar Band Method
I made an attempt to partly decrease fragment by using a preallocated area of multiple size of a std blocksize for a tree block when it is COWed. The basic idea is that if any a tree block need to be created, we offer, say, 2 or 4 multiples of a std blocksize for it, then use the first block in the continuous blocks. When this block need a cow in the future, a new free block in these continuous

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix CLONE ioctl destination file size expansion to block boundary
The CLONE and CLONE_RANGE ioctls round up the range of extents being cloned to the block size when the range to clone extends to the end of file (this is always the case with CLONE). It was then using that offset when extending the destination file''s i_size. Fix this by not setting i_size beyond the originally requested ending offset. This bug was introduced by a22285a6 (2.6.35-rc1).

[RFC] [PATCH] Btrfs: rework can_nocow_odirect
I need everybody to go over this with a fine toothed comb since it is a pretty big change. I think it is right and it seems to come out right, but if it''s not it will mean we screw up O_DIRECT on snapshotted files with preallocated extents, so please, make sure it is correct :). --- Subject: [PATCH] Btrfs: rework can_nocow_odirect We are always doing the file extent lookup in here

[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: add a free space cache checker to fsck
In trying to track down a weird tree log problem I wanted to make sure that the free space cache was actually valid, which we currently have no way of doing. So this patch adds a bunch of support for the free space cache code and then a checker to fsck. Basically we go through and if we can actually load the free space cache then we will walk the extent tree and verify that the free space cache

[PATCH] Btrfs: use bytes_may_use for all ENOSPC reservations
We have been using bytes_reserved for metadata reservations, which is wrong since we use that to keep track of outstanding reservations from the allocator. This resulted in us doing a lot of silly things to make sure we don''t allocate a bunch of metadata chunks since we never had a real view of how much space was actually in use by metadata. There are a lot of fixes in here to make this

OpenSSH-2.1.1p2: Is this misuse of strtok?
Is this a misuse of strtok() in OpenSSH-2.1.1p2? readconf.c:process_config_line() calls strtok() to parse config lines. When it finds oProtocol it calls compat.c:proto_spec() which in turns uses strtok(). However on return of proto_spec(), process_config_line() calls strtok() once more to (quoting from the source code) /* Check that there is no garbage at end of line. */ But surely strtok()

[PATCH 3/6] gpllib: fix sizeof(char *) misuse
The code was passing sizeof(char *) - not the length of the buffer - to strlcpy and snprintf. Change the function to take the length of the buffer as a parameter. Fixes the warning: argument to 'sizeof' in 'snprintf' call is the same expression as the destination; did you mean to provide an explicit length?
