Tomboy on F12 to Gnote on Centos
I'm trying to convert my Tomboy notes from an old F12 system to Gnote
on this CentOS 6 system.
What I have found buy googling so far:
- Tomboy notes used to be stored in $HOME/.tomboy
- Some Tomboy upgrade moved them to $HOME/.local/share/.tomboy
- Gnote stores its notes in $HOME/.local/share/gnote
- Gnote has a Tomboy note converter add-in
My Tomboy notes are in /home/steve/.tomboy so I had

Some handy methods - perhaps cool enough to be committed some time
Hi.
Some time ago I posted some prototype-"extensions", which could come in
handy.
I''ve been updating them a bit and added a few more and I think its time
to share
it again.
Feel free to use it.
The code should be rather self explaining, but heres a quickguide.
- new Geometry.Size(width,height) - Creates a new instance of size
- new Geometry.Position(x,y) - Creates a new

metacity theme opacity
I pushed out some changes to gwd that makes it possible to properly set
an overall opacity value for any metacity theme. Making the complete
decorations translucent can look bad with some themes. However, I've
made it possible to have the opacity fade from opaque to the selected
opacity value in a similar way to how the built-in decorations look.
This usually looks a lot better.
I'll add

RE: scriptaculous appear effect and tiny_mce bug onopera 9
I seem to recall the Effect.Appear setting the final opacity to 0.99 to
avoid some bug on some browser; anyone remember the specifics? Seems
like we should probably just conditionally check for the broken browser
and set to 0.99 for only that one, otherwise leave it at 1.0, but I know
I don''t have the full picture of why it was necessary or whether it
still is.

Searching for beagle
Hi,
there was a message in the list at Fri 26 Oct 2007 21:13:58, that
beagle was added to centos testing repo. But I could not find it
there. Please could someone give me an advice. Thank's a lot!

Are there any experiences with beagle under centos 5? Is it usable now

Polyline toMicrosoft() change
Hi guys at mapstraction,
I made a change in the Polyline.toMicrosoft() function, in order to have
all the power that a VEShape has, for instance fill color. Below is the new
code, if you want to use it, change it, or whatever.
Cheers,
Beta
/**
* toMicrosoft returns a Microsoft polyline
* @returns a VEShape
*/
Polyline.prototype.toMicrosoft = function() {

compiz-scheme. Interactive prompt and example startup file.
Beyond the general work on compiz-scheme (new wrappings, hooks, code
improvements, etc), I've added a few large new things:
1. Key bindings with modifiers. This lets you from any of your scheme
files/interactive prompt bind an arbitrary key + modifier to an
arbitrary scheme function. So you can define new Compiz behaviors and
shortcuts on the fly.
2. An interactive prompt. This sets up a

state of blur plugin
I forgot to give everyone an update on this.
The blur plugin is in a reasonable state now. It requires an OpenGL
implementation with an accelerated CopyTexSubImage2D path for usable
performance and that's likely not going to change sometime soon. One
major performance improvement can still be made, which allow us to avoid
the CopyTexSubImage2D path whenever the area behind a blurred region is

[PATCH] Add opacity limits
Hi,
This patch adds appropriate limits (1-100) to opacity_values in core
options. Minimum is 1 to be consistent with the opacity changing
action and because it doesn't make sense to have an invisible window
that is still there.
Regards,
Erkin

[PATCH] Define default opacity windows in Compiz
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
This patch uses the same hacks listed in the "[PATCHES] Fixes for java
apps and firefox in scale, switcher and wobbly" message to apply the
transparency to the right windows; I don't think it will be merged,
but I'm posting it here just as example for other users/packagers;
however it can be disabled only setting the default
