[RPMS] XGL/Compiz git Fedora packages
Hello, I'm new to the list but I've been following it since its inception. First of all sorry for the length of this post, if you're not a Fedora user just skip it. I've been building Compiz packages since Fedora Core 5 came out (Xgl only) and updating since then with all the new stuff, AIGLX and whatever. I use them on a very large range of hardware. Attached are my source rpm

Force parent window
Does Wine allow me to change the parent window of an application run under Wine? I've tested one of the 64k demos from Farbrausch (http://www.farb-rausch.com/) and it works perfectly under Wine. I'd like to have them running as my wallpaper. I've tried Xwinwrap but it doesn't work so I was wondering if there is something I can pass to Wine to tell it to draw its windows on the

Regression in nvfx-next since yesterday
Celestia 1.6.0 again shows corrupted rendering on planets, other parts rendered correctly with the latest git pull on the nvfx-next-5 tree. Yesterday's nvfx-next tree worked perfectly. -- http://www.munted.org.uk One very high maintenance cat living here.

Force window fullscreen
Hi all, I'm looking for a way to force a certain window on my desktop to go fullscreen. The window in question is from Enemy Territoy, it tries to go fullscreen, but for some reason doesn't work, and stay always redirected with obvious framerate slowdown (keep 6-7 fps average on a FX 5200). I was thinking something like xwinwrap, which you can call a process and force his window to

New Quantian releases with almost all of CRAN / BioC
[ I hope this is not considered off-topic for the list: A new Quantian release was just announced, and it contains even more R. As before, we have R (now 2.2.1), ESS, Ggobi, Rpy, several BioInfo tools -- but now we also have RSPerl, JGR, rJava and more. A full sync to CRAN and BioC as of Feb 25, 2006 now yields dim(installed.packages())[1] of 877. Feedback welcome, but

Hi, 1. How to dynamic link the outputs from R to MS-Word or MS-Excel? 2. I'd like to develop an VB application and use R as the "backgroud calculator". How do I call R and its function in VB? [fdo] where to find fdo logos?
Hi, I have been looking for the freedesktop.org logo in a good resolution or even vector based, but I was not able to find it. If someone could point me to a ps, svg or other vector based version, that would be great. I saw a vector based version of the logo on Keith's screenshots of window-level image compositing, so they must be somewhere around there. If you have the logo in a higher

DAGIR
Hello all, The rich history of binary distribution formats based on LLVM [0][1][2][3][4] has proven LLVM's viability as a launchpad for stable platforms. However, issues with compilation time and compiler size have suggested that the translator must do too much, i.e. LLVM IR isn't a low-level enough virtual machine. So we introduce DAGIR ("dagger"), a new portable close to the
