"doveadm log reopen" don't reopen separate lmtp log
I still see the issue below. Is there anyone running separate LMTP
logging that could check if they experience the same issue?
Best regards
Henrik Larsson

Managesieve stopped working - Undefined symbol "i_stream_read_memarea"
After upgrading Dovecot to 2.3.2.1 and Pigeonhole to 0.5.2, managesieve
stopped working.
I'm using FreeBSD ports tree, to build these. Only domains have been
modified in below output.
A FreeBSD bug report have also been created. But I'm not sure if this is
FreeBSD ports related or Dovecot/Pigeonhole related:

"doveadm log reopen" don't reopen seperate lmtp log
Dear all
I have setup separate pop3/imap log "/var/log/dovecot" and lmtp delivery
log "/var/log/dovecot-deliver".
After rotating logfiles, i run "doveadm log reopen". I see that my
pop3/imap log "/var/log/dovecot" is used straight away, but my lmpt log
"/var/log/dovecot-deliver" isn't used at first. After some time, usually
a few minutes,

Dovecot stops with "Fatal: kevent(): Invalid argument"
# 2.0.11: /usr/local/etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
# OS: FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE amd64
Dovecot stops with the following logged:
- master: Fatal: kevent(): Invalid argument
I have found that a diff was created for "src/lib/ioloop-kqueue.c" for a
similar issue:
http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/2010-November/054855.html
I have patched my system with this and haven't seen the problem

IMAP COMPRESS not announced while using imap_zlib plugin
I'm trying to enable the IMAP COMPRESS plugin listed here:
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Compress
I have added zlib globally and imap_zlib to the imap protocol.
This is the output from doveconf -n with regards to mail_plugins:
--cut--
mail_plugins = zlib
protocol imap {
mail_plugins = zlib imap_zlib
}
--cut
But it seem like the feature is not announced when connecting to the

Unable to join Samba server to Win2k domain
Dear Samba users.
I have tried to add my Samba server to a Win2k AD mixed mode domain for
several days. I have searched the Internet for information, but couldn't
find a solution. So I will try to describe my problems here.
I first tried to use "security = ADS" and add the Samba server as a native
member.
I have changed the settings in my krb5.conf and tested this with kinit:

Converting CLIENT_MAIL_DATA_MAX_INMEMORY_SIZE to a configurable?
Hi,
Currently Dovecot's LMTPd writes incoming emails to mail_temp_dir if
it's bigger than 128k. But I would like to spare those unnecessary
operations (creating a file, deleting it, writing into it, reading from
it, checking whether there is free space and if not, rejecting
(temporarily) the message). Memory is cheap, disk IO is not. :)
And BTW, on a lot of systems, /tmp is a memory

Temporary files
In v1.0 .. v1.1 deliver was writing incoming >128k mail to /tmp file (to
avoid reading it all into memory). In v1.2 I moved it to user's home
directory. This slowed deliveries for NFS users. Also people with
filesystem quota had trouble since now user required twice as much
available quota to save a message. The FS quota problem was "solved" by
having quota-fs plugin change the

How to assign NULL value to pairlist element while keeping it a pairlist?
Thanks, this was what I expected. There is a desire to eliminate the
usage of pairlist from user code, which suggests the alternative of
allowing for function arguments to be stored in lists. That's a much
deeper change though.

chroot: Error: Temp file creation to /tmp
Hello,
We are using dovecot (2.2.10) and it's working great! When I enable
chrooting by appending /./ to the homedirs I'm getting errors like this:
mail1 dovecot[47074]: imap(user): Error: Temp file creation to
/tmp/dovecot.imap.mail1.70079. failed: No such file or directory
On the surface everything seems to be working fine and I have not been
able to produce the error myself.

Why not pthreads on Windows in 'parallel' package?
Aaaah ...
and argh - I should have better not to post R question at midnight,
especially when I know it forks the process and it's not using threads.
Brain meltdown. (So, we'll proceed trying to use pthreads in matrixStats
also for Windows). Sorry for the noise and thanks Kasper.

Title of bundled packages in the library index (PR#1017)
Full_Name: Henrik Bengtsson
Version: 1.3.0
OS: Windows Me
Submission from: (NULL) (216.175.122.171)
I realized that the title of packages in the library index when they are in a
bundle is the title of the bundle and not the package.
It looks like the TITLE file, which apparently is used for generating the
library index, takes the value of the bundle's title and not the package's
title.

How to assign NULL value to pairlist element while keeping it a pairlist?
Hi Henrik,
It would help to understand your use case for pairlists.
Thanks,
