[Bridge] Re: [VLAN] newbie problems
Thanks for the reply. You are quite right about the routing, and i've advanced to the bridging part. But it will not work. I've finaly gotten access to the switch it's connected to and from the logs i've got this output: Jan 26 16:49:56: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_PVID_ERR: Received BPDU with inconsistent peer vlan id 4 on GigabitEthernet0/1 VLAN40. VAR-Estimation
Hi, I want to estimate a VAR-model and calculate the impulse response function and a variance decomposition. I am familiar with standard R-functions, like e.g. arima. But I have not found equivalent functions to estimate a VAR-modell. Are there any functions available or which R-package can I use to solve my problem? Thank you for your help. Load Balancing Problems
Hi, I have a router that got its second link. I was trying to do load balancing, but i can not get it to work properly. Just one link works at time, and is always the second in the command ip route add default table 222 proto static. Am I missing something? My script is below. I am using Debian, tried with kernel 2.6.19 (my compilation) or debian''s one (2.6.18-3-486), same results

shorewall, ucarp & conntrackd on debian
hi i''ve not found many hints on shorewall/ucarp/conntrackd topic. i''m sharing this with the list, so that i''m able to search and find it the next time. :) i''ve setup 2 identical systems with shorewall, ucarp and conntrackd in an active/backup way. ucarp just calls ifup/ifdown, all network configuration is maintained in /etc/network/interfaces (Debian),

error compiling icecast on woody
I had this same problem. To fix, I just commented the line with the CURLOPT_NOSIGNAL out since I couldn't find that option anywhere in the curl headers. It's running fine on my Debian woody box. CDR extract call numbers on interval on unique callers
hi, we want to extract the information when the most callers are entering our phone system based on an interval of 15 minutes. this is quite simple (although not perfect) with select calldate, count(*) as anzahl from cdr where calldate > '2019-10-12' group by unix_timestamp(calldate) DIV 900 having ; Unfortunately we have lots of callers who calls multiple times when they are

Registered successfully, but after a minute or so no SIP messages anymore
ok, solved the firewall issue. A first test call worked fine. Another one now still gets disconnected after 32s. But in FW there are no blocked packets anymore?! And I don't understand why the registration to the same IP and same Port is working, but not later transmission of further SIP packets? that doesn't sound logical to me. What do you think? regards, andre

First SIP-registering succeeds, second doesn't
Hi all, I have a strange issue, with a some kind complicate architecture... A router of our internet provider is in front of another bintec rs353j router, at which my freepbx installation is located. However, NAT etc. seems to work fine. BUT: Something is not working...: When registering my sip-trunk towards my provider (3 different providers, all behave comparable), everything works at first.

Registered successfully, but after a minute or so no SIP messages anymore
Hi all, I have an issue with asterisk 13 and pjsip. I guess it is somehow Firewall related, but I'm unsure. A registration to Sipgate is established successfully: <Registration/ServerURI..............................> <Auth..........> <Status.......> ==========================================================================================

Listen on several (but not all) Interfaces
Hi, I'm using Dovecot 1.0rc15 from Debian stable/etch. I'd like to have Dovecot listen on more than one interface. It shall listen on one IPv4 Interface and on one IPv6 Interface. The comments in the sample configuration file say, that it's not possible to listen on more than one interface at a time. Sadly it's no option to me to listen on all interfaces. So I'd like to ask

Launching DRb server on reboot: solved
The problem with getting DRb to luanch on reboot is the same problem causing some people to ahve trouble getting mongrel clustersw to come back up on reboot. The problem is the PATH. ON many new RH distributions running SELinux, /usr/local/bin is not added to the PATH until reboot is complete. Therefore, those of having installed ruby in /usr/local/bin run in to issues. SO, hoping to save
