Quota questions
Hi all, I?m a little bit confused about the quota plugin in dovecot and fighting the the issues the people had years ago. I spent readingg the old archives and the mailing list for 3 days and not able to get work some features. Single user quota is fine and simple, the group quota /for example domain based/ makes me unhappy. Setup: CentOS7, dovecot comunity repo, dovecot 2.3.5 1) domain quota

dsync having problems with @-sign in mailbox names
Hi there We are running Cyrus-to-Dovecot migrations using dsync on destination Dovecot server (Debian Stretch / latest Dovecot 2.3.7.2 from community repo) like this: $ doveadm -o mail_fsync=never backup -R -u <username> imapc: For imapc configuration to connect to remote Cyrus server, see below [1]. While this works great for hundreds of mailaccounts, dsync fails with the following

Migrating from qmail server, invalid option "o" in dsync
Hi folks, I have an old server running qmail with several years of mails in maildir format I want to migrate to a new server, without requiring fresh client download of everything. Old server is debian 6(?). Local IP is 192.168.0.1. New server is Debian 10, local IP is 192.168.0.25. I have dovecot 2.3.4.1 (latest from apt stable) installed and apparently working - if I manually copy the home

Recipe/advice for Samba 4.11 on Ubuntu 20.04 as member server joining Windows Server 2019 AD
In this case. Change the setup. \\proto1\derekwashere To \\proto1\users\derekwashere Apply the correct rights on users and for the share. And you have your security tabback Ps. And i would use. \\FQ.D.N\users\ Because it simply helps in avoiding sudden problems. Greetz, Louis > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Namens

I was fighting domain quota for a long time, too. And I was never really successful at it, because group/domain quotas have multiple problems, and domain quota recalc is just one of them :) After a long trial and error I ended up implementing XFS project quotas. I don't have seen an way to enable it only for 1 user like rawlog permits. Maybe,

Deleted mails in dsync backups
Hello we are doing regular backups of the mdbox mail folders using dsync -u username backup mdbox:/somedir/BACKUPS/username (still with version 2.1.10, but 2.2.5 is in testing phase) We do observe that the directory size in the BACKUPS directory is growing with respect to the original mail folders. I believe this is due to deleted mails not being purged in the backup. We are doing regular

dsync mbox to maildir migration does not delete, deleted e-mails
Hello, I am planning to migrate all users from mbox to maildir. I am trying to do it with minimum downtime. (~100GB data) All users are currently using POP3. Dovecot version is 2.2.10 (latest). Command used is: dsync -u username mirror maildir:~/Maildir Process I plan is: (omitting steps related to sendmail / procmail) 1) keep dovecot running (with mail_location as mbox) 2) dsync for all

Dovecot proxy: per user/domain 'namespace/inbox/prefix' from MySQL
As a way to try and avoid using "prefix = INBOX." ad infinitum for the inbox namespace, I'm looking for ways to move on to "prefix =" for new mail accounts, and grandfather the existing ones. Previously running Courier-IMAP, now Dovecot, I looked at https://wiki.dovecot.org/Namespaces#Backwards_Compatibility:_Courier_IMAP and decided it's too risky to go down that

Duplicate mails with pop3 + dsync replication
FWIW I just tried the sdbox mailbox format for a singe user (not the whole installation) by overriding the mail-userattr via ldap and the problem persists, so I don?t think it?s an issue with maildir per se, but rather a pop3 / replication issue or a misconfiguration on my side. dsync 2.1.10 does not correctly handle renames of mailbox subtrees
Hi, It seems that dsync 2.1.10 does not correctly handle renames of mailbox subtrees. The scenario is as follows. There are two servers, A and B, both running dovecot 2.1.10 and configured to use mdbox. Automatic replication between them is disabled, ie. replication plugin is not active and replicator service has process_min_avail = 0. I perform the following actions: 1. On A: doveadm mailbox
