EXT_texture_from_pixmap update
Patch for mesa with a set of updates for EXT_tfp. Includes necessary FBConfig support, adds attrib_list to BindTexImage and fixes CreateDrawable so that glXCreatePixmap works. Xgl and compiz requires this patch. Can I commit this to head? -David -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... compiz 0.3.6 in fedora rawhide
Hi, I've just updated compiz in fedora rawhide and wanted to post a quick overview of the patches we still carry. Patch details are available here: http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/rpms/compiz/devel terminate-move.patch restart.patch These are already upstream, but not yet in a released version. aiglx-defaults.patch tfp-server-extension.patch These two paper over a problem in

1.0.alpha4 process creation wierdness
Hi list! I'm a little confused. I have set "login_process_per_connection = yes" and "login_processes_count = 1", and this is how my pstree looks when nobody is connected: dovecot -,- dovecot-auth `- imap-login However, when I connect with a client it looks like this: dovecot -,- dovecot-auth |- imap `- 2*[imap-login] I

gnome-terminal resizing issues
Hi, I'm having a strange problem with gnome-terminal doubling its own window size every time I switch tabs while some "fullscreen" app (e.g. less or screen) is running in the terminal and the window isn't the default size. To reproduce: - open a terminal and make it a couple of pixels higher - open a new tab - run 'less' in either tab, and switch between the tabs

inotify.h not found
Hi, dovecot (1.0.alpha5) won't compile with inotify support because inotify.h can't be found. I'm running Linux 2.6.15-rc5 with headers from 2.6.12 (like most vendors). I've noticed that beagle and other inotify-enabled applications ships with an inotify.h. Could this be scheduled for alpha6? :-)

Unable to POST after suspend
Hi, I just tried the live CD for CentOS 5.0 on a desktop computer and decided to see if suspend worked. It seems it did, but I'm unable to start the machine again. It's a DIY system with an Asus K8V-X motherboard[1], an AMD Clawhammer 3200+ and 1 GB of Kingston ECC RAM. The system has been perfectly stable despite being utterly abused on a daily basis for almost 3 years. I've tried:

cow by default?
Hi David, --use-cow seems to be quite stable on all variations of tfp (xgl, aiglx, nvidia), I think it was the plan to default-enable it. Do you think it's ready for that? Compiz on AIGLX
Last night I reworked compiz-aiglx patch from Kristian H?gsberg to get it working (i.e. patching and running) with latest compiz cvs. Most plugins and features are working again now : wobbly, minimize, resize, cube, rotate, move, fade, scale, place, zoom. However the last two plugins, switcher and decoration are broken. Decoration just draws nothing, I found that the problematic function call is

RODBC help

It seems that RODBC is not converting them to a suitable variable name for MySQL. > sqlSave(channel, zz, addPK = TRUE, verbose = TRUE) Query: CREATE TABLE zz (rownames varchar(255) PRIMARY KEY, NAME varchar(255), ID varchar(255), GROUP varchar(255), OAC_RT double,

The direct/indirect rendering stuff and compiz
Hi, In fact, this bugged me a long time and now I'd finally like to have a solution: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8160 The issue is: compiz has now some fallback code to indirect rendering if direct doesn't work. But that's completely useless, because it'll fail some lines later, exactly here: glxExtensions = glXQueryExtensionsString (dpy, screenNum);

[feature request] fglrx without Xgl works with copy method in beryl
Latest amd/ati drivers (8.37|8.38) supports composite with dri. So, after patching beryl (cause he can work without tfp) to make it use direct rendering on "aiglx method" and removed check for GLX_SGIX_fbconfig, which fails. - I was able to run beryl on fglrx WITHOUT Xgl. Only bug with windows drawing exists(as noticed in latest known issues for ati drives), more about this bug -

Intel Boot Agent 1.2.16 specific problem
Hello, I have a currently working pxe/tftp network boot configuration. I'm using tftpd-hpa. Recently I tried to add a new PC, which has an onboard Intel 82540 GigE ethernet controller. When the PC boots, it successfully speaks with DNS and attempts to download pxelinux.0 from the tftp server. This ends in a TFTPD read time out. I tcpdumped the traffic and found: 192.168.13.167.2070

Different tftp directories
We use pxelinux and tfp-ha for windows installation together with winpe 2005 under linux. It works and we are happy. But we have one problem because we want to add one more image for xp pro x64 too. Since there is already a ntdetect.com, NTLDR and winnt.sif in the /tftpboot root directory we can't add the 64 bit ones. It's no problem to use different startrom.0 files since I can specify

free from GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
You might have hear this before. I just came across it today. from http://blog.beryl-project.org/ "I am running your svn and have noticed this non-tfp Beryl, what is this? It is exactly what it sounds like, an early attempt (with some success I might add) to make Beryl run without the need for texture_from_pixmap. No more black window bug from nvidia, no more Xgl, no more AIGLX. Oh

[PATCH] Use-Copy for Compiz - Non-Texture-From-Pixmaps rendering
Some weeks ago one of my friends asked me to port the "use-copy" (non-tfp) beryl's feature to Compiz since he wasn't able to run compiz (fusion) smoothly in his nvidia card with turbocache (these cards works well only using Xgl, otherwise they are affected by the [in]famous "Black Window Bug". That's obiouvsly an error that nVidia should fix, but in the latest
