Bit Torrent Application
Hey All,
Can someone suggest a bit torrent application for CentOS 6.4 along with
the name of the repo where it resides.
Add/Remove Software, and several google attempts, have come up empty.

Repair grub GPT/UEFI?
What does it take to make a disk bootable on a system with UEFI and a
GPT on the boot disk? I used a default disk layout in the initial
install on a 600Gb drive (on a box that also contained a larger raid).
and it used a GPT.
ReaR won't work to back up/restore this system, complaining about the
UEFI. I cloned the drive to a different server with clonezilla-live
which completed without

Centos 6.4 and Virtualbox
I'm trying to install Centos 6.4 under Virtualbox on a Mac running Lion. I downloaded the 2 iso DVD files and set Virtualbox to boot from DVD 1
When I start the vm it puts out a lot of messages then asks me what kind of install I want to do. I select the basic install and it tells me it found the media ( the iso DVD file I downloaded) puts out a message about the anaconda ( I think) install

Adding browsers
Recently, I put CentOS 6.4 on one of the four PCs I keep behind a
KVM switch. I like it a whole lot in most ways, but Fedora has spoiled
me : I install almost every browser I can, and generally keep half a
dozen or more open, mostly with several tens of tabs open. Iow, I use
browsers as I used to use books, back in the Carboniferous when I had a
desk in the stacks.
Are there ways a

Trying to justify CentOS vs. RHEL
Hi all,
I'm in the process of moving all of my RHEL systems over to CentOS but the
argument that fires back at me is for critical vulnerabilities for items
such as zero-day exploits and such.
>From what I've been reading, RHEL releases critical patches much quicker
than CentOS which makes sense since CentOS is simply a copy and when
changes occur they propagate down to the RHEL clones.

[JRuby] Exposing rails method as java class
hello,
I am using Jruby on Rails. Does anyone know if you can expose a RoR object
as a java class so that you can call it directly from java without having to
go through a service layer like REST ?
Thx
Adam

Re: LiveZilla
First off, for those who have done some R&D on this with LiveZilla v3 series, kudos indeed.
I noticed LiveZilla is at v4.0.1.2 now. I have not dived into trying the installation process under Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit and 64-bit desktop systems here) just yet, but wanted to reach out and see if anyone has tried such? Potential issues that may be encountered (with or without solutions; with

Hi there,
I'm trying to play Commandos 2 multiplayer but it's not possible (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=1846&iTestingId=42954). I get a connection error. Searching, i found (http://www.eidos.co.uk/support/faqinfo.html?fqid=161&gmid=78) that Commandos 2 use Microsoft Direct Play. It's possible on Wine?
Thank you!

GSoC - Syncing docs between GitHub and CentOS's git repo
Hi!
I think we may combine these method of discussion. As the project is aimed at short-term contributors and attracting new contributors, we should make the process as easy as possible.
I agree with Kunal. Among these three options, I recommend modifying and using an existing open source project best, too. Because for mailing list, it is not so convenient for a short-term contributor to

Recompiling CentOS's stock openssl
I'm running CentOS release 4.8.
For security reasons, I have to modify openssl's ssl.h in /usr/include/openssl/.
That's easy. But for the new settings to take effect, I have to recompile
openssl. I do have openssl-devel installed.
How do I recompile?

CentOS 5.10: Upgrading from IUS's php52 to CentOS's php53 questions
I would like to update one of the websites on my server from Joomla 1.5 to
Joomla 3.2, but it wants PHP 5.3. I am currently using IUS's php52 5.2.17,
which is fine for the Joomla 1.5 and the various WordPress sites (up to 3.9)
currently served on this server. I plan to test the update procedure on my
home (test) system (a pretty much identically setup system) before possible

GSoC - Syncing docs between GitHub and CentOS's git repo
Hi!
I am applying for Google Summer of Code 2015 with a project creating a new doc toolchain for CentOS.
I plan to use GitHub to store a copy of the documentation, and users can send fork / send PR to this repo. Then a server program monitors this repo and syncs changes between GitHub and CentOS?s own git repo. So the key is to automatically sync repo between GitHub and CentOS.
I think there

GSoC - Syncing docs between GitHub and CentOS's git repo
Hi Kunal!
Thanks for your reply! I think the official mirroring is a great method because of higher efficiency.
Another thing I am trying to solve is how to retrieve and store all the discussion / issue / PR on GitHub? These functions are great for a doc toolchain. However we shouldn?t rely on GitHub as a part of our project. My plan now is to use bugs.cents.org as a place to discuss about docs
