SSH, SCP connections to remote MySQL Database using OpenOffice Possible?
I'm trying to find a way to get remote connections from my Linux Desktop machine to a remote Linux box which is hosting a MySQL database, via SSH port 22, and then once connection is established, log in to the database port 3306 and have either an SSH and or SCP connection established so I can securely do edits and queries.
I am able to connect this way from my Windows machine to remote

That's suspicious.
Let's exclude it is the client which causes the problem: Connect
directly to the IMAPS server on CLI.
openssl s_client -connect <server ip>:993
You hopefully see a greeting message

g.729 licenses do not release when used in Voicemail
Upon testing the g.729 licenses in our lab we found the following issues in a plain SIP environment:
1. When g.729 licenses are used in leaving a Voicemail, they do not get released upon clearing the channel.
2. If the voicemail.conf has options for 2 format types (ie. wav49 and WAV), it consumes 2 g.729 licenses.
I have reported this to the bugtracker.

Traffic Shaping with Shorewall
Does anyone here implement traffic shaping with shorewall? I need to shape
BitTorrent traffic on my network so that upload/downloads do not overwhelm
normal function or, even more importantly, my imminent conversion to VOIP for
all telephone service. I followed the shorewall documentation guide but am
not sure if what I have done is the Right Way Of Doing Things. Nor am I

scp on the client-side requires scp on the server-side as well
Hi,
A couple of days ago I realized that 'scp' on the client-side requires
'scp' on the server-side as well.
client:scp -> server:sshd -> server:scp
It this really the way it should be? IMHO it seems like a bad design.
I usually create a Solaris-package with prngd, sshd, ssh-keygen and name it
OpenSSH-3.x.x-serveronly but now I have to also include 'scp'. Is it
