compiz-scheme. Interactive prompt and example startup file.
Beyond the general work on compiz-scheme (new wrappings, hooks, code improvements, etc), I've added a few large new things: 1. Key bindings with modifiers. This lets you from any of your scheme files/interactive prompt bind an arbitrary key + modifier to an arbitrary scheme function. So you can define new Compiz behaviors and shortcuts on the fly. 2. An interactive prompt. This sets up a

Compiz 8.6 on openSuSE 11.0 -- Success! But need help with a few issues.
Dominique, cc: compiz, Dominique, you wanted the feedback, and List, I need your help. I have installed and fully configured (kicked the tires) on compiz 8.6 on openSuSE 11.0 and on balance it is great. There are a few weird things going on. Most notably, the number of options in ccsm that now uncheck themselves. In the past (compiz 0.5.6 - 0.8.2) there may have been one or two that would stick

Compiz 8.6 - suse 11.0 1-2 rows pixilation at top of screen on kbd rotate
Listmates, This is no biggie, 8.6 is working well so far. However, I do notice 1-2 lines of pixelization at the top of the screen on keyboard rotate. I know this hasn't been there since the 0.5.6-0.6 days when compiz was first released for opensuse years ago. It wasn't there up through 8.2. The gpu is the radeon X1200 using the fglrx-legacy driver. Looking at the screenshot it actually

compiz Digest, Vol 55, Issue 1
I'm not expert at all, but I would never recommend enabling Compiz by default on a Live CD/DVD at the stage Compiz/X11 it's right now. At least ask the user at boot stage. Why doesn't compiz honor special window settings?
Listmates, I have a problem with compiz not honoring the special window settings in kde for xterm. In kde, I have the position and size of the xterm window set to a usable default. In KDE, the window opens to the proper size and location. In compiz, it is about 1/2 the size and never opens where it is set to open. Is there a way to have compiz read the default window settings for xterm?

Reviving compiz.org - quest for information
compiz.org hasn't been updated properly in almost half a decade, and there's a lot of misleading or downright wrong information out there right now. There's a launchpad ticket on it [1], but the subject isn't quite covered by a simple bug as it stands. First thing first: Compiz has been using version 0.9 for almost half a decade, and clearly deviated from past conventions of

feature request
Hi, i'm very new to this mailing list stuff, so I'm sorry if I screwed it up and sent this wrong, or whatever... I just wanted to bump up the priority for the window shade code development. I would really like to have window shading in compiz. Just wanted you to know that another person wants it! Thanks! Dave -- GOOOOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!!

road map
1. The first thing I like to do is push out a 0.3.4 release. (This week) 2. Some important changes to how plugins do window animations needs to be done. There's currently one representation of each window and plugins do simple animations like move and scale by manipulating this window object. This can easily cause conflicts between plugins and a lot of care needs to be taken to make sure that
