[PATCH] Transparent cube
Hi, Recently i have worked on re-writing beryl's transparent cube, and ported 3d plugin to compiz. I'm attaching a patchset here that includes the transparent cube patches (i'll post the 3d plugin when i fix some problems that didn't happen in beryl). Patching order: btf-ftb.patch, clip-planes.patch, plugin-events.patch, cube-paint-order.patch, transparent-cube.patch. Special

workspaces/desktops/viewports on top/bottom of cube?
I know this has probably been asked before, but, I'll ask anyways: Workspaces/Desktops/whatever on the top and bottom of the cube, is there any chance this will ever happen? I love how in gnome you can have work spaces in rows/columns, and i tend to have 4-6 workspaces (well 6, but only 4 gets used all of the time, but its nice to have the "buffer" workspaces. since using compiz

Speex hardware requirements?
Also, you would be sattisfied with the narrowband decoding because the GBA sound quality isn't very good, however, that depends greatly on what you're going to do with speex on a GBA.... (an RPG with audio dialogs? ;-)) also, using a DSP in a GBA Cartridge sounds like overkill to me, however, that depends greatly on what are you developing and what's your target audience....

Shelf plugin ignores current deformation and places window only on 'cube' face during rotation?
Guys, Here is a potential bug that may need to be looked at. If the scale plugin is used and deformation is set to cylinder, then when the desktop is rotated, the self-sized windows are shown on the face of the cube instead of on the face of the cylinder. The sphere deformation has the same problem. It looks really odd. Here are a couple of screenshots showing this behavior: (1) screenshot of

Multi Head Cube rotation
Hi, I pulled compiz from GIT yesterday to see if I could get proper multi-head support. I think the current status is great, but I have one little suggestion to make. The current behavior is that we have two viewpoints of the "cube" (it's more like a body with eight side planes now). If it's rotated one step we skip one of the planes. Rotating four times is enough to go round

Speex and Symbian
Hi every one, I know that speex suports Symbian now in the unstable release but I wounder if any one can compile a decoder for Symbian MMF? I have googled for one but ending up with only "yes, speex suports Symbina" and no binary. I would use it to finaly listen on my audiobooks but I think it would be a good demonstration aplication. Best Regards P?r Moberg

Speex hardware requirements?
Compared to todays PDAs the GameBoy Advance (GBA) is low spec. it has a 16MHz ARM7tdmi RISC processor. 32-bit but it can handle 16-bit instructions in a mode that resembles "bytecode" (a 32-bit instruction is executed using a 16-bit instruction). I got a feeling that the GBA would need a FPU. For more information on the GBA visit this info page:

Making use of names of viewports (grid)
The following code, though not brilliant, works on an A4 page. It might look odd on other devices of a very different size. =============X8------- cut here ---------------------------- require(grid) wide <- 15 vps <- grid.layout(nrow = 3, ncol = 4, widths = unit(rep(1, 4), rep("null", 4)), heights = unit(c(99, 1, 99),

Feature Request: Viewport Switching Plugin
Hi, First of all, great job! :) I really like to organise my work on, former known "workspaces", now "viewports". I use currently use 9 so I have 3 for work, 3 for private applications and 3 for other projects. Using the viewports like this it happens to have 3 browser windows, 6 Document Viewers, 9 Terminals, 1 Evolution, 2 IDEs and >3 Gimp The number of Windows and

Compiz Fusion Release 0.5.2 is out!
Compiz Fusion Release 0.5.2 is out! This is the first development release of Compiz Fusion, the result of more than six months of work and polish. The first stable release, 0.6.0, will follow after the Compiz 0.6.0 release. Compiz Fusion is the result of a merge between the Compiz community plugin set "Compiz Extras" and the parts of the Beryl project that are independent of the

Rotated viewports in Grid
Hi all, I'm trying to generate a plot containing a scatterplot, with marginal densityplots for x and y. However, when I try to generate a vertical densityplot, I get the message "warning: can't clip to rotated viewport", and nothing shows up. I'm probably misunderstanding how viewports are meant to be used, so if someone could give me a hint, I'd be most grateful. my

Horizontally maximized window on last viewport
Hi, I posted this on the forum as well, but there were no responses to it. I now posting it here just in case anybody cares. Anyway, Compiz is a very nice program. Thanks for all the effort you put into making it. I am using the latest git version of compiz and it really works great for being an "unstable" version. Anyway, I noticed the following strange behavior and was wondering

Multihead related issues
First, there are two fundamentally diffrent types of doing multihead: The "one big screen" solution, usually achieved with xinerama , twinview or similar. This provides us with one Screen, and therefor one CompScreen structure. The output extens are retrieved from xinerama, or possibly randr (in the future?), I would assume. Then there is the less used "multiscreen" way, which

strange behaviour with rotated viewports in grid
Dear all, I am having a problem using grid when rotating a viewport. It seems to plot everything on a grey background colour which I am not able to get rid of. Even book examples such as that that plot figure 5.10 in P. Murrell's R Graphics book show the same behaviour. The following example illustrates this issue. I would appreciate if anyone has a way to solve this. Best regards,

configuration tools
Hi, I was looking around for configuration tools for compiz. I don't really need anything special, but situation seems a bit problematic at the moment: - gset-compiz: Used it in the past, website is dead. - compiztools: Never seen it, but from what I read seems ok, but website defaced and download dead - csm: doesn't work with vanilla compiz So: Is there any tool atm to set the compiz

Metadata improvements
I was just thinking, with the metadata files allowing us to make up settings pages, there is a problem that we could address here. It seems ever-so-evident that developers are splitting up plugins into much smaller plugins to reduce the amount of bloat. This is good because it speeds things up but bad for the user in two ways -We've got multiple settings pages which really adress the same

animated grid graphics
I need to make a fairly complex animated graphic and decided to use grid for it. A very simple example of what I need: ##============================================================================== library(grid) grid.newpage() pushViewport(plotViewport()) pushViewport(viewport(xscale = extendrange(c(0, 100)), yscale = extendrange(c(0, 100)))) grid.xaxis() grid.yaxis()
