Secure Calling
How do I make a user dial a passcode to make calls through asterisk? We would like to place a phone at a client's location for our employee but are afraid it may get abused by the other workers. ________________________________ This electronic message contains information from BOSH Global Services which may be company sensitive, proprietary, privileged or otherwise protected from

ODBC dialplan looping problem
All, Thank you in advance for any help. I have a customer in need of a conferencing system. A requirement is for users to each have their own PIN for the same bridge. So, I put the list of users, PINs bridges into a MYSQL DB and used an ODBC connector to parse the table. Asterisk is connected and reads the rows as expected. The problem is that if a user enters a PIN that is NOT in the table,

Authorize & Microsoft SQL
Hello Everyone, I have an installation where the client has a Microsoft SQL database that holds all of their case information. They would like the asterisk system to require users to enter a valid case number when making an outgoing call. I?m seeing some documentation regarding people using Microsoft SQL for CDR storage, however nothing regarding validating authentication using a Microsoft SQL

Solaris /bin/sh was a real real dumb version of the bourne shell. Solaris included /bin/ksh as part of the core distribution (ksh88 was a part of the SVr4 specification) and so many scripts were written with #!/bin/ksh at

schily tools
Hey folks, I'm reading up on gtar for tape archiving and it sounds kind of nasty and not something I really want to rely on. It looks like star from the schily tools is preferred. I'm using Centos (and RHEL) 5.7 which seems to have star but not sdd. Which leads me to believe that the Schily tools are maybe a bit "rogue" My basic requirement with what I'm doing is to use

FUNC_ODBC and ARRAY
Gentlemen, I have googled, searched the mailing list archives, and even spoke on the IRC channel, but have not found an answer to the following problem. I am attempting to retrieve multiple columns in an ODBC query using ARRAY per the solutions offered by many individuals. My dialplan code is as follows: exten => _.,n,Set(ARRAY(var1,var2,var3)=${ODBC_LOOKUP(${KEYVAL})}) exten =>

res_odbc.conf and odbc show
I have a mixed PBX system with both Asterisk 1.4.21 and 1.2.27 (moving to 1.2.28). For now I need to keep a few boxes in 1.2 and not migrate them all to 1.4. However, I would like to have func_odbc and res_odbc on all servers. On 1.4.21, native func_odbc seems to work fine. On 1.2.27, the func_odbc backport is giving me an error (I know that this backport is not "officially supported"

hi all the help output for DISA ends like below, with the half-sentence 'Note that in the case' what's the rest of that sentence? Hi, I would like to do some development on the securid patch to get it to display the passcode prompt when users log in with securid on ssh. Can anyone tell me which scripts currently handle the logon/password prompt in openssh please? Thanks, JS. _________________________________________________________________ Join the world?s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail.

Telemarketer Torture.... (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 49)
You could accept as the "passcode" the caller punching in their own phone#, then checking that against your whitelist. Lets associates get past the challenge when using someone else's phone, without their remembering some arbitrary passcode. And strangers or barred old associates who abuse it can get an earful about how you're suing them for wire fraud. Preferably after you
