Power Cut
Thank you very much for your reply . So you mean under the
/var/log/messages it is distinguishable that which logs come from operator
initiated reboot and which ones come from sudden power cut and then booting
from scratch when power resumed ? Am I correct ?

could not insert 'fuse' error on CentOS 7.1
Hey guys,
I tried installing the latest fuse on CentOS 7.1. I downloaded the latest
version (2.9.4) from sourceforge and did a source install. After rebooting
the host, now when I go modprobe fuse, this is what I get!
*modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'fuse': Unknown symbol in module, or
unknown parameter (see dmesg)*
If I tail dmseg this is all I see, but it doesn't seem

Centos6.4 routing problem
dear All,
I'm facing this routing problem, the setup is actualy part of ltsp, but
I think this problem is Centos-specific.
The server is a Dell Poweredge R210. The install is standard 6.4, updated.
I have one nic facing the public internet:
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-em1
DEVICE=em1
BOOTPROTO=none
HWADDR=d4:ae:52:c1:28:2b
NM_CONTROLLED=no

Choppy Sound On Bridging From SIP->IAX
I am experiencing choppy sound when I bridge from a SIP peer to an IAX
peer. I am running Asterisk 1.4.13 on a 2.6.22.9 kernel (Fedora). I am
experiencing choppy sound from the SIP peer to the IAX peer but not
vice-versa. I know that this is not a bandwidth issue because I don't
have choppy sound (with the same codec) when bridging IAX->IAX peers or
SIP->SIP peers. My timing source is

SLA and Flashing BLF
I understand that the Asterisk SLA implementation is somewhat different
from most key systems and PBX systems. I also understand that in
Asterisk, one does not put an SLA line on hold since it is just a MeetMe
conference. However, is there any way to make the BLF flash when the
answering party on the Asterisk system presses the hold key on their set
and leaves the calling party alone in the

rsyslog not loading relp
centos 6.4, setup to be syslog server. Doing remote syslog using tcp
works fine, so now want to add relp. I installed the rsyslog-relp
package and told rsyslog.conf to use it:
# RELP Syslog Server:
$ModLoad imrelp # provides RELP syslog reception
$InputRELPServerRun 20514
when I restart rsyslog I am told it does not like my InputRELPServerRun line:

Puppet + Passenger SELinux issues
I recently setup my Puppetmaster server to run through Passenger via Apache
instead of on the default webrick web server. SELinux made that not work
and I've found some documentation on making rules to allow it however mine
won't load. This is the policy I found via this website,

Seattle IAX Termination
Does anybody know of any commercial providers of IAX termination with
DIDs in the Seattle, WA area? I believe the area codes are:
425, 206, 253
Failing any commercial providers, is there anybody in the seattle area
running Asterisk with a PRI coming in who might be willing to sell me an IAX
trunk with a DID in Seattle?

Disconnection From IAXTel
I am using IAX soft clients (firefly, IAXComm, IAXPhone) from a Win2K
machine on a NATed private LAN to connect to my IAXTel account. All of my
calls to outside numbers(1-800, 1-877, etc) seem to be disconnected after 9
seconds. Has this limit been placed on IAXTel? My call to the echo test
number at 1-700-999-9613 seemed to run for as long as I wanted.

put all those users in a group, and delete all the user ACLs on that
directory, just add the single group ACL
