Image_tag Positioning/Alignment
Hi:
I searched the forum before posting and could not find any help on how
to position an image using image_tag (''image_name'').
I have an image in a div, and I need to move it to the right.
How do I this? I have this code:
<div id="mainDivright"><%= image_tag (''name.gif''), :options =>
{:align=>"right" } %></div>

AssetNotPrecompiledError for missing assets - really?
I migrated one of my projects to from Rails 3.0 to 3.2.1 which means
I''m using the asset pipeline for the first time.
As much as I like the ease of compressing and minifying my assets the
more I''m annoyed about its behavior to raise an
AssetNotPrecompiledError as soon as, well, there''s an asset that''s not
precompiled.
Can somebody explain me the reason why this

image_tag adding request parameter
I have noticed that the image_tag helper method now appends a request
parameter to the generated src attribute. With Rails
1.0/actionpack-1.11.2 I had
<img src="/images/rss.gif" />
Now (1.1/1.12.1) I get
<img alt="Rss" border="0" src="/images/rss.gif?1142366545" />
Is there any use for that number? Where does it come from?
This is very far

image_tag :align => 'absmiddle' ?
hi,
i''ve been through the rails apis and searched through past rails discussion,
but i haven''t managed to find a way of aligning images with the image_tag()
method.
ideally i''d like to write something like
image_tag("image.gif", :align => ''absmiddle'')
to position the image vertically in the middle of some text.
thanks

Change the default folder for image_tag, javascript_include_
Hi,
I don''t want my default folder to be mysite.com/images/logo.png, but
instead mysite.com/common/images/logo.png
How can I change that? Same applies to stylesheets and javascripts.
Thanks

Question: image_tag(source, options = {})
image_tag(source, options = {})
Ok, when I want to use an image I added the following code:
<%= image_tag "dsf.jpg" options = {[align="right", style="padding-right:
10px; padding-top: 5px;"]} %>
However, this doesn''t seem to work, it doesn''t like how I have the
"options" part setup. I''m sure there is something very easy

rails, passenger, and images
Just switched over to passenger for development and production for my
rails app. Liking it so far.
My problem is my image_links, stylesheet_tag_links, and
javascript_tag_links are all adding "http://localhost:3000 to the
generated links. I got around the stylesheet and js links by not using
the helpers.
I can access my all of my assets directly via http://dating.local/stylesheets/all.css,

link_to_remote, image_tag, mouseover is this possible?
Hi guys,
I was wondering if you are able to have a link_to_remote, having an
image_tag and the link_to_remote has a mouseover event that updates a
div. Does the image_tag need the mouseover event? I currently have:
<%= link_to_remote(image_tag(@p_image.public_filename(:thumb)), :update
=> "big_pic", :onmouseover => {:action => :color_change, :id =>
@p_image.id})%>

--prefix, url_for and image_tag
First time here, so I hope this isn''t a FAQ (although I did check
*the* faq).
I''m using mongrel_cluster with --prefix, and it is very slick. Thanks
for that. But I had one problem. At one point in my little app, I
have something like this:
image_tag(url_for(:action => ''picture'', :id => 1), :size =>
"160x200")
In this scenario,

How do I wrap a <%= link to %> around an image?
I''ve got a bunch of dynamically generated link paths that I want to use
to link some dynamically-generated image paths. Specifically, I want to
link thumbnails in a gallery to the larger images.
But I''m stymied by Rails'' syntax. I can''t figure out how to do this.
I tried this:
<%= link_to(image_tag("../../images/photos/photo.photogroup/TN_

Numbers on stylesheet_link_tag and image_tag
Can anyone explain to me exactly what are those numbers that rails
appends to stylesheets and images when using stylesheet_link_tag or
image_tag? At first I thought it would be so the browser wouldn''t
cache the stylesheets, but that doesn''t make much sense for images,
plus it seems that the numbers are unique, maybe based on the session.
Any idea?
Thanks

My SCSS compiled CSS lacks "/assets" in the generated urls
Running "rake assets:clobber assets:precompile" will generate files like
"application-xxx.css" with incorrect urls after upgrading to Rails 4.
For example url(/fields/xxx.png) when it should be
url(/assets/fields/xxx.png). For some unknown reason it worked once in
development mode, but after running rake assets:clobber I can''t get it
to work again...
Any ideas

conditional link_to_remote not re-rendering
I have an int, ''floorfrozen,'' in my table, ''channels'' that can take a
value of 0 or 1.
When I render a page, an image in a link_to_remote is called
differently depending what the value of channel.floorfrozen is, in a
partial, as follows:
<% if @channel.floorfrozen %>
<%= link_to_remote image_tag("/images/icecube.gif"), {:url =>
