Squid/dansguardian on Centos
Hello, Would anyone have a good set of install instructions for Dansguardian running with Squid? Along with that I am interested in being able to apply the 'google patch' which allows for setting google searches to either safe or very safe mode. I can find a text version of the patch, but have no idea how to install it. Thanks! Robert -------------- next part

Shorewall redirect with Squid and Dansguardian
Hi all, I''ve just built Mandrake 10.1 on a Compaq Deskpro that I''ve built as a router/firewall and am redirecting port 80 outbound to force users through the Content Filter. I''ve run this setup on Mandrake 9.0 and 10.0 without any problems but this time the following happens. Squid is accessed through port 3128 and Dansguardian via 8080. If I set my browser on a

Hi all, I am running squid integrated with squidguard.dansguardian, clamav running on single standalone centos 5 server. Also running webmin for managing squid. This Squid is serving for 4000 clients. Since it is serving more users i don't want to take risk by running single server,if there is any single point of failure will cause all of my users to standstill. So i am planned to go for

Asterisk 11, SIP. OK to BYE goes to wrong ip/port combination
Hi all, I've read several discussions about asterisk adding 'received' parameter to the top Via header. In our case asterisk (release 11.4) gets BYE from sip proxy (with BYE top via header containing proxy ip address and port) but added 'received' parameter contains ip address from a 2nd Via (or from "From') and OK gets lost. I'm just trying to adjust sip

Server 1: Squid, squidguard, dansguardian, iptables (This is firewall/filter) Server2: Samba (used for file storage and squid authentification) Clients are Windows 98. A few XP's. Everything has run fine for almost 2 years. The other day when trying to log on to the internet,

SquidGuard update in EPEL
Hi, The SquidGuard URL redirector has recently been updated in EPEL, and I'm a bit puzzled. I'm still using SquidGuard on a few local proxy servers running CentOS 7, because it's a nifty piece of software for filtering web traffic. The project's home page has remained unchanged for more than ten years: * http://www.squidguard.org/ It looks like the project has been dormant or

Fedora and EPEL sport SquidGuard 1.4.36. Now when you search for "squidguard", this seems to be the project site: * http://squidguard.org/index.html

Running Shorewall with Squidguard on same machine
Hi, I''m trying to get Shorewall to work with Squidguard on a machine which is acting as the fileserver, firewall, proxy server and internet access point for a small network. The network at present consists of the fileserver/firewall machine running RH 8.0, two Linux boxes running various RH distributions and two windows virtual machines running on the other machines under Win4Lin.
