This problem has been discussed a number of times, but none of the given

Encoding issues when uploading files
Hello everybody,
I have some troubles with uploading files in my Rails project.
I use Rails 3, Ruby 1.9.2, rack 1.2.1, and both webrick / passenger on
apache
I was investigating and have isolated the strange behaviour on a
simple empty project:
view:
<% form_tag({:action => ''upload''}, :multipart => true) do %>
<%=text_field_tag :desc %>

request.format = :mobile causes error "undefined method `ref' for nil:NilClass"
I have a strange problem with setting request.format = :mobile
I can reproduce this problem on a completely fresh Rails 3.0.7 app
with no special gems. This seemed to work well in Rails 2 but for some
reason is hiccuping here, not sure what''s different in Rails 3 that
makes this hiccup. If you look at the stack track, it doesn''t even
pass through my app stack once -- weird --

Can't use ActionDispatch::Request in Rails middleware because path_parameters get lost
Hi,
I just encountered a bit of an issue where we call request.params of
an ActionDispatch::Request inside a rack middleware right before a
Rails 3.0.3 app. The issue is that the path_parameters never appear
in the parameters hash if you call request.params before the rails
app.
It seems that that the requests.params method memoizes itself in
"action_dispatch.request.parameters"

rake db:migrate debacle
Hi there - I''m a ruby newbie and am stuck on the Getting Started with Rails
app. See output below. Problem arose when I ran the rake db:migrate
command. I also tried the ''rake db:migrate RAILS_ENV=development'' command
which may be obvious. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Many thanks!!

/lib/rack/request.rb in my gem - is this reserved?
Hi!
I write a gem at the moment. The Gem need to register during the
process in the rack middleware.
So I make an folder "rack" inside my "lib" folder. I called the file
"request.rb" because it keeps track of requests.
So we speaking about the file /lib/rack/request.rb
But even if I place an empty file on this, I get the following:

I am assuming this an appropriate place to discuss this, but if it isn''t my

Am attempting to pull AMS (active_model_serializers), strong_parameters,
