Hello everyone, I''m new to this group. Also I''m kind of new to rails too but I''m an experienced developer and kind of a coach for best principles, patterns and practices of effective software development/testing. I''ve developed few rails applications though and read almost fair amount of material for it. Currently I''m reading Avdi Grimm''s

Undefined method error
I have been working on a project based on Michael Hartl''s book Ruby on Rails Tutorial in order to try to teach myself Ruby on Rails. However, when it tries to render a form designed to allow a user to submit a small message, I get an error saying, "undefined method `model_name'' for NilClass:Class". It says the error is at line 1, which is "<%= form_for

Interdomain Trust and Logging In
I'm having problems getting Interdomain trusts set up. Both servers are running samba-3.0.10-1.4E.9 (one RHEL 4, the other CentOS 4). The two domains are SOCIALWORK and MATH, servers swserver and bing respectively. On bing, I created a socialwork$ account with the -i option to smbpasswd. On swserver, I created a math$ account with the -i option to smbpasswd. The trust relationships seem to

Need some guidance re: two domains sharing the same workstations
I fought with this a few months back, and was never able to resolve it, so I'm back at it trying to get things to work before classes start again in January. Here's a brief summary of the situation: I am responsible for 2 departments, Math and Socialwork, which are located in the same building and share the same network. Each department has its own samba server (RHEL4/CentOS4) and domain

Samba 3.3.7 Member server not using Ldap
Greetings List, I've got 2 identical Samba Member servers on my domain,of which the global section of the smb.conf is identical. My config file is below: The difference? One's a 64 bit OS the other is 32 (I don't think this is the issue). The 32 bit system runs flawlessly, the 64 bit OS does not and when I execute pdbedit -L it does not return the ldap database

Re: Need some guidance re: two domains sharing the same workstations
Hello Matt, I've had similar misfortunes too with interdomain trusts. I think you're working along the right lines since you seem to want to do the same thing as I. However the NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL is an error I always get when trying to connect to the IPC$ share of the PDC of the trusting domain. In my case the trusting PDC is a Windows 2003 Server. I know it's not an issue

allShortestPath function in e1071 package
Hi All, I am using the allShortestPath function based on Floyd's algorithm in e1071 package. It runs great when I have less than 5000 nodes. But when I tried to work on more than 5000 nodes, I ran into memory problem. The problem I really want to solve has 10000-15000 nodes. Does anybody know how to deal with this problem? Are there any other packages in R that can handle this problem?
