If you use this plugin:

Set your terminal to be non movable, terminal window doesn't have
_NET_WM_ACTION_MOVE, but you can move it with decoration.

[PATCH] Role window matching
http://hibbert.univ-lille3.fr/~cbellegarde/Compiz/role_match.patch
This patch add a new match type in regex plugin.
You can now add a "role=" in match strings...
This will enable me to put window matching into bs plugin and remove
Opacity/Brightness/Saturation window matching from state plugin (currently in
conflict with opacity window matching from core).

Here is a bug that make me insane since a lot of time.
Randomly, when launching an kde application, i can see it appear on screen
and then being placed by place plugin.
I look at place plugin code and everything looks ok...

[BUGS] Kde window decorator
Thanks to last david modifications (fixing an important bug for me), i just
jump to kde decorator.
But i always have two bugs:
1)
I've got some artefacts with wobbly windows at window/decoration junction.
Better visibility of this bug with polyester theme and unified
decorator/window color like on this screenshot:

This doesn't happen

gtk decorator bug
Sometime, i've got gtk-window-decorator unable to maximize windows :(
http://hibbert.univ-lille3.fr/~cbellegarde/gwd_max_bug.png
On this shot, tvtime window is maximised, gwd think it is (not rounded
corners).
Switching to kde-window-decorator and it works, switching to gwd and it's not
working again.

3.0.2-testing packages for etch
Greetings Debian Xen team,
I spent a weekend getting 3.0.2-testing building and thought i'd share
the love.
Manoj and I are already working to update make-kpkg for the new Xen
architecture.
My repo is at:

I have posted a Breezy-centric howto for this build at:

Samba vs NtBackup Round 3.0.5
Hi all,
I experienced the same problem with 3.0.4 that Jeremy and Bruno were discussing - NTBackup unable being to connect to shares and erroring out with 'Access Denied'. I have today upgraded to 3.0.5 (using the Debian Woody packages) and that didn't fix the problem. Was the fix in 3.0.5r1 only applicable to 2000/2003 server? I am stuck in the dark ages of NT 4 here, maybe that is a

Matrix inversion
I cannot find what is the function label for matrix inversion in R. I have
found 'ginv' for the moore-penrose in the MASS package, but there is
probably a simple inversion operator in the base package. Where can I find
it?

Blur problems
I am having a few problems with blur which I notice other people
are having too.
Focus blur works perfectly (although only with 4xBilinear)
When I start blurdemo, that works too. The problem is that sometimes
changing the filter type crashes compiz. If I run it under a debugger
it starts working again. All the filter types work with blurdemo.
Blurset also works in that it sets the hint on

A few more bugs...
Hello,
I found a couple bugs concerning my favourite Shade/Unshade function.
1) Sometimes the shaded window gets more space than it should and, of course, nobody takes care about it, so everything
drawn on this space remains here. If I move a decorated window along, its shadow cummulates quickly to full black here.
Unfortunately, I don't know any reliable way how to reproduce this. (But it

Samba and NtBackup 3.0.7: Revenge of NtBackup
Hi all
I noticed that 3.0.7 is out (another security release)... does this contain the fixes for NtBackup connecting to a share?
Currently I have to use ftp to copy the data to the server before backing up... not ideal.
Thanks in advance

state of blur plugin
I forgot to give everyone an update on this.
The blur plugin is in a reasonable state now. It requires an OpenGL
implementation with an accelerated CopyTexSubImage2D path for usable
performance and that's likely not going to change sometime soon. One
major performance improvement can still be made, which allow us to avoid
the CopyTexSubImage2D path whenever the area behind a blurred region is
