Headers in ActiveResource
I am creating a rails app that is a gui wraping a restful web service
that uses a websso for authentication. This websso sets a series of
headers that I need to pass from the request to the
ActiveResource.find methods. As this is stuff like username etc it is
going to be different for each request. I can find examples on how to
set headers for all requests not just one.
Does anyone know of a way

Oracle-JRuby error
I am trying to migrate from RoR/MYSql to JRoR/Oracle. I am using Active
Record JDBC to talk to the database. The Migration process to create and
populate the database tables has been painful. My latest issue is the
method new_date is undefined in the JDBC adapter. I have the following
gems installed:

How to consume a nested singular resource?

We have a RESTful server application which exposes the following routes
using the following rules, but when trying to consume those resources
from a client application the routes are not generated correctly. And we
are not sure how to get around that.

Which RoR to run on Mac OS X for a particular RoR app.
I am extremely new to RoR, I am. I am slowly but surely learning Ruby
and the Rails concepts but the environment is confusing.
I have an application that was written for my company in RoR. It is on a
ubuntu server that is going to be shut down. I want to move the app to
my two Macs (one Leopard and one Snow Leopard). We want to keep the app

ActiveResource - 404 when resources use the :as parameter

I have another question about ActiveResource.
In a REST server I have resources defined with the :as parameter, like:
map.resources :alerts, :as => ''alertas''
But when I try an ActiveResource client to access that, it tries to
access ''/alerts.xml'', which returns a 404.

Rails 3.1.0 cannot connect to sqlite database on Mac Lion
I''m running Rails 3.2.3 on Mac Lion with sqlite 3.7.7 and ruby 1.9.3p125. I need to back down rails to 3.1.0 for a project but when I do that a simple index page give me a

error.
Rails 3.2.3 works, 3.1.0 not. Any ideas?

We're sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat
I am using JRuby and I have to deploy on Tomcat. My web app is working
fine in the dev envirmonment, with Mongel, but when I deploy on Tomcat
I get "We''re sorry, but something went wrong on Tomcat".
The problem is that production.log only shows:

Active resource and binary data for sqlite3
I posted some data to a webserver using ActiveResource, it seemed I
needed to encode the binary data to Base64 for it to work. When I
tried to read the data back and decode it from Base64 it seemed like I
had to decode it twice which baffled me how it could have been double
encoded when I only encoded it once ?

Problem processing text file after uploading
I''ve got a web-app currently partially working. The user uploads a .txt,
.docx or .doc file to the server.
Currently the model handles those files, saves some metadata (the
extention and orig filename) then saves the file to the hard drive. Next
it converts the doc and docx files to plain text and saves the output to
